I don't care if he's on the list or not, he's going to be very good. These lists are just collective opinions of a bunch of volunteer writers.

I thought the funniest thing about that list is how Brendl, Kraft and Beech are all ranked ahead of Heatley and Gaborik. Ouch.

Then you have Brad Richards at 36, behind the likes of modern day legends such as Maxim Balmochnykh, Ivan Novoseltsev and Petr Schastlivy.

Hey don't forget the household names of Denis Shvidki and Kiril Safranov.

And it was one time suggested to me and John by someone in the Kings organization that we should have Brady Murray in the Top 5 for Kings prospects. To each his own.

The Hockey News Future Watch is MUCH kinder to the Kings. No offense to this wonderful site, but a much more reputable list.

Agreed that is why I didn't comment once I got a response saying I'm watching through Kings glasses.... I know i'm over reacting but I know there is partial truth to what I said

The THN list is not really kinder to the Kings than the HF list is. The HF list just has a lot more players qualify for prospect status than the THN list does. For example, Seabrook, Olesz, Jokinen, Perezhogin, Emery, etc. qualify for HF's list but do not qualify for THN's list. If the HF top 25 is composed of all the prospects speculated in this thread, only four of the HF top 25 prospects (Malkin, Johnson, Ryan, and Schremp) would have qualified as prospects under the THN standards. If THN's standard of prospect criteria was applied to the HF list and the top 25 was composed of the speculated players, Tukonen and Kopitar would be numbers 13 and 15 overall, respectively.

I won't say anything until I see the final list. Then I will look and compare.

Ding ding ding ding. Got to compare apples with apples here people.

I believe THN's standard is that if you play 1 NHL game, you're off the list. That would eliminate at least half of the HF list and put Kopitar, Tukonen and likely Tambellini in the top 25. Boyle and Grebs may have found the bottom of the list also.

I thought the THN list was ridiculous too.

C'mon, the only list that matters is MY list!

The 11-25 list is out, and with the 25-50 it seems like half will graduate this season with nhl games played. I tend to look at the prospects that are playing a regular shift and earned a spot in the lineup playing in the nhl that they're graduated. Most will not be going back to the ahl anytime soon. It doesn't look like LA has anymore on the list

I cannot understand how Tukonen isn't a top-50 prospect.

Tammy I can understand, Grebs I can understand, Boyde I can understand, heck I can even deal with Kopitar being 43rd.

But Tukonen has done everything you could possibly want as a prospect not named Alexander or Crosby.

Good lord what more could you want from a 19 year old kid then to be a top WJC player and to have spent the past 3 years in adult leagues and thrived?

40? Then let me restate. I cannot understand how he isn't top-20 at least.

Pekka, the Finland writer that has seen more fin players more often than any of us actually thinks Tukonen shouldn't even be in the Top 50. Tukonen is a great prospect, but he doesn't have a high enough ceiling to be a Top 20 prospect. If he is, then the NHL is really hurting for future allstars. To each his own.

I don't think Tukonen belongs in the top 20 either.
