We dont score enough goals. We make critical defensive mistakes. And lately....we have had subpar goaltending. Lets be honest here, nothing about this team screams GREAT or even GOOD.
Yeah, sure. You can continue "being honest" while us people in the real world realize that the team is simply struggling a bit. That's pushing it, even. Before tonight, they had won 4 of 5.
Yes, let's throw Hank under the bus when the team scores as many goals as we do in our own net - and then some, our defense is garbage most of the night, we look as disorganized as a kindergarden in our own zone, we can't hit the side of a barn when we shoot, which we usually don't but turn it over most of the time. And then the asinine, incredibly ****ing stupid blind cross passes from dumb ****s like Girardi and usually Del Zotto back in old shape whole night hasn't been mentioned.
Let's completely ignore the game could've been over in the 1st period - or the 2nd - if it wasn't for Hank. Wait, we obviously already did that and then some.
And then Zucc is out for the rest of the season. Just great.
I'm just going to reiterrate what I've been saying all year about his team. There just isn't enough finish on these top 3 lines.
They are great in respect to keeping it in the zone, but they really fail on getting shots at the net.
You can pretty much bet that if Gaborik, Richards and Callahan aren't scoring, we will not get more than 1 goal a game from the rest of the lineup.
and just my opinion but seeing Zucc getting injured this game really stung, I really felt that the Rangers were starting to get into the mold of having 3 top lines with scoring ability on each line..... Now we are going to go back to two bottom lines of grinders. Its just not going to cut it when it counts

They're 9-8-2 since Feb 16. Really the last time they've strung together a good consistent stretch of hockey is around the Super Bowl.
Offense was far from the problem tonight IMO. Well, it was a problem, but the Rangers were far worse defensively than offensively. They generated chances but Miller was very good and Buffalos defense played a very sound game.
What I'm worried about are preventable turnovers and bad goals.
And as much as I love this team, we miss way too many open nets.
This. i have been saying for the past 2 or 3 years we have the worst accuracy as a team in the league. how many times do boyle, mdz, dubi, anismov etc miss the net by 20 feet?
The Rangers aren't that bad. My only problem is I don't think we're as good as the Pens. That being said, I still believe we're the 2nd best team in the conference. All this talk of a first round exit is pushing it quite a bit imo.
There isnt a good matchup for this team....except for maybe Florida, I dont see them capable of beating anyone in a 7 game series.
I feel the opposite, i think our conditioning and rough/tough style could wear teams down like buffalo, and i will say, in a 7 game series with the pens i think we could make it to 7 games and if we wear them down enough with our physical game i think we could take it

A PP that's ranked 29th, posters pretty much hinting that our goalies are going to have to stand on their heads.
Pittsburgh makes goal scoring look easy. Rangers make it look like an impossibility.
I've seen lines of people at Walmart that were easier on the eyes than this game. Total crap.

It's easy to sit back and blame someone for this loss. Hank didn't play well, and Mitchell, well,... The thing with Mitchell, it was more of a brain fart than anything else. On bad, concrete-like ice, he's got to dump that puck instead of trying to make a play.
Seemed like the whole bunch were fighting the ice rather than anything else. Buffalo took full advantage, forcing the Rangers into bad spots.
Bad bounces, bad breaks, bad loss.
In all seriousness, what is the Rangers home record since the Knicks resumed playing?

Only if Lundqvist goes back into God mode and we win games 1-0/2-1.
A lot of you guys are overreacting because of Pittsburgh. The Rangers are still a good team. They just arent that deep.
Bruins went 8-6-4 to close out their regular season last year. Then they lost the 1st two games at home.
Thanks for bringing up that stat. They even blew a three goal lead to us in that span. I don't know if the Rangers can work themselves out of this, but maybe they do just that.

It's home ice advantage for a reason. We have to know by now that we have the worst ice in the universe. We should be putting other teams in bad spots because of that, not the other way around.
Rangers have 49 NHL contracts... And this is the best offense they can field?
Outta love with Mitchell... Too bad zuke is done. No one really left in hartford other than wellman, newbury and deveaux.. unless kreider signd the 50th and final contract.
