NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

We're going to have to correct the mistakes in less than a day. We have a short time between now and when we fly up there.
- Brian Boyle

It's pretty obvious that the odd-man rushes killed us tonight. We gave up way too many of those.
And I thought we had a good chance to tie it there in the third period, but they took advantage again.
- Henrik Lundqvist

We're not getting a big offensive play right now. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with the lines.
- John Tortorella

Should be an easy win, which means that the Rangers will make it a nail biter.

Might as well put Biron in to give Hank some extra rest. Hank hasn't been playing much better than Biron and Biron got one of his 2 shutouts against the Leafs and Hank gave up 7 goals in his 2 starts against them.

Gotta get back to winning, it's as simple as that.

Think Torts may be switching up the lines for this one...could be really out of left field too.

I'd like:

Stepan - Richards - Gaborik
Hagelin - Anisimov - Callahan
Dubinsky - Boyle - Prust
Rupp - Mitchell - Fedotenko

Stepan's been struggling since leaving Gaborik, I like keeping Gabby and Richards together.

Hagelin and Callahan have performed well with each other in the past, Anisimov makes the most sense as #2 center with Stepan on the top line.

Then it's just a pick your poison of mix and match fourth liners + Dubinsky.

Let's be real though. The team had their best defensive effort of the season that night, save for the 2-0 Devils game. The games at the Garden were more run and gun, which the Rangers cannot play.

Haha, they've let the Leafs run all over them this year. Can't wait for this amazing game. What will the all-star John Mitchell do next? Who will be the next skill player to get injured? How many goals will Biron give up five-hole?

BONUS:

Yes, at least they decided to put Biron in net against the Leafs. However his five-hole has gotten much wider since that shutout.

I'd switch Dubinsky and Anisimov - Dubinsky has been a brute lately, and Anisimov is very versatile and seems to work well with Boyle. Fourth line absolutely reeks, hope they're not on ice for more than five minutes a game. Maybe Mitchell will play better after playing for Buffalo last night, it's funny, he's not bereft of talent, but he needs to start playing like he's Brandon Prust, not Wayne Gretzky.

Yes. Let him work through it. Can't believe some people are actually clamoring for Biron.

However, it we can only score 1 goal, I don't care who we start.

Not clamoring for Biron, but just giving Henrik some more rest before the playoffs start. Remember it'll be a back2back with travel....

With the way the Leafs have been playing, this is an ideal game to get your backup some minutes in.

The Rangers are supposed to be a good defensive team with a great goalie, why is a shutout so out of the question?

LGR! This game is a pretty much a must-win if we want to win the Atlantic.

Let's beat these damn Maple Leafs.
