so tempting to dish out $225 for a pair to watch this game...never watch my rangers play but man hockey games are so expensive...if hank was playing i will be tempted to go but right now ill watch on my big screen...expecting a good bounce back game from the blueshirts...CUT DOWN ON THOSE STUPID TURNOVERS resulting in odd man rushes...dump chase forecheck...simple but was working before
Guys I missed the game last night, can someone explain what mitchell did that was so bad?
Accidentally kicked a goal in the net on the first goal. Over handled a puck that caused a turnover which ended up in our net. I can't give him too much blame for the first goal, but the turnover that lead to the second was completely inexcusable.
The Rangers have a day off between each of the last 4 games. Henrik should start all of them. If THe Rangers clinch home ice, they can stay in New York from Friday 04 April all the way until after Game 2, which should be around the 14th or 15th.
My guess is that if the Rangers open against the Caps or Flyers, NBC will want a Sunday game, so they will start the Rangers on the 12th (thurs) and Game 2 will be the 15th (sun).
Of course, I'm speculating. By the point is to show that Henrik in no way shape or form should feel overworked by the time the playoffs start.
Based on last night, Henrik needs more work to get his game back.
Hank's game was just fine. If not for Mitchell, he would probably have had a shutout. Buffalo was getting nowhere, he had the door shut. Then Mitchell and an open invitation for oddman rushes for the rest of the game happened. Sure, we looked like garbage in our zone for most of the game, but at least they supported Hank. Sure, he could've had the 3rd goal, but he could've allowed a couple before that sequence anyway. We wouldn't have scored any more goals that night anyway.
It's incredible how quickly fans completely ignore 2/3 of the game and base the entire performance of one player on one period, solely because he allows a goal they think he should've had, regardless of the situation it happened.
Funny how somehow that loss i Hank's in so many eyes. Funny, the team scored just as many goals in our own net as in theirs, how the hell is that a loss on the goalie, who had to make highlight reel saves all night just to keep us in it? But no, of course the loss is his when he lets in a goal he probably could've had with some more luck, on the plethora of quality scoring chances we allowed. Statistically, we lost that game with just the right amount as we should have.
Hank had a "bad" game because the team had a ****ing awful game.
Please start Hank tonight. He should be more than capable of handling this Toronto team. He looked good last night despite the 4 goals and he's only played 55 games this year. He has more than enough rest.
