It's hilarious when the referee is about 8 feet taller than DD.

Love it that Bob Cole can't tell the difference between St-Denis and Campoli.

St-Denis is an offensive defenseman (well an all-around guy but knows his way around the offensive zone). He was on pace for over 40-points this season on a terrible Bulldogs squad.

Palushaj has played well the last couple of weeks.

Plus Emelin has been used on the PK and has been blocking more shots. I think management wants him to fine-tune his defensive game before they start to work on his offensive game.

DD has been a giant this seson, he stands towering over a lot of players this year, in a most important way....not concern about the ref being 8' tall , he's not the emeny lol !!!

Palushaj had so much time and space. He got nervous and rushed it I think.

Also...I still don't get why Emelin doesn't get ANY PP time. Even St-Denis is above him in the PP worthiness? At least throw Emelin a bone here and there.

Exactly.

I don't want Emelin focusing on much offensively anytime soon. We have enough tools under contract (or RFA) to do that... Weber, Markov, Subban, St-Denis, Diaz, Kaberle.

The only true defensive guy he is Gorges. Adding Emelin to that group is more important.

Damn, St-Denis almost scored. He's a really, really smart hockey player. If I was GM, he'd be buying a house in Montreal.

is it only me, or do the Flyers seem A LOT quieter to start a game with staubitz, white and blunden in the lineup?

If we don't sign anyone new;

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Cole
Bourque - Plekanec - Gionta
Moen - Eller - Leblanc
Staubitz - White - Blunden
Darche

Markov - Emelin
Gorges - Subban
Kaberle - St-Denis
Diaz - Weber

Price
Budaj

I'm really high on St-Denis now.

White got beat cleanly on that face-off. Nokelainen would have probably went for a tie-up but whatever.

3 Habs standing in the slot, and not one takes that shot away.....and what a ****ing brutal penalty call....anyhoo back to the regularly scheduled predictable tank.
