Bruins/Kings is always entertaining, and they've got a team I love. I'm *shocked* we are so close to them in the standings point-wise; truly crazy. They're probably not going to be happy about that SJ win, so we'd better come out firing.
I can't wait for this game and how much different it feels in the last two weeks since this team has turned around. There is a level of confidence as a fan that didn't exist at this level most of the year. I now expect the quality, effort and skill I've seen growing since the Carter trade and since Sutter's coaching has chased away the last remants of the spider web that TM's system left the players trapped in.
I'd like them to come out and play a solid game but esp. a very strong first period and dominate. I hope all 4 lines are rolling and getting quality chances. I think that is a key here, that all 4 lines play well and eat up time in the Ozone. I expect some goals from the first two lines.
I've heard more than one Hockey Anaylst over the last couple days point out how dangerous the Kings are and if they keep playing like this, they have the potential to do a lot of damage post season.
This is one of my favorite Mike Richards goals, last year against th e Bruins. It was a great ,game , two teams playing playoff level hockey for 60 min. going head to head nd end to end...just a joy to watch.
10 seconds left in OT and Richards got the puck....and calmly entered Boston's zone, waited, made a very subtle head move (Timmonen moving in on the left) that Seidenberg bought hook, line and sinker and banked his shot.
Most fans (and hockey experts) have pointed to the connection between Carter's arrival, the turn around, the winning ways , goals per game rising and other on ice positives.

This winning streak has to come to an end eventually, I just hope we lose tonight instead of against SJ and hope PHX drops one tonight as well and then we finish out the year only dropping 2 at the most.
Going to the game with a friend who I went to the University of Maine with (obviously a Bruins' fan since he's from the Northeast). He flew out for the weekend just for this game and the Bruins' game against the Ducks tomorrow. Hopefully the Kings make his Saturday night a miserable one.
