Guess you didn't see the post by one guy in the GDT. He saw the Pens coach at the 67's game and apparently convinced him to put in the backup

Karlsson goes from -3 in second period to -1 and 1 assist to end the game.

He stepped up at the end, biggg time.

Seriously?? Do some of you posters even watch the games. Karlsson was ****ing terrible tonight. He turned the puck over pretty much every time he touched it. There is no way that you can push that onto Cowen. It only made it worse that he had such bad luck with his sticks breaking. Karlsson was pretty bad last night against the habs as well. Hopefully he can get out of this slump soon because he looked like Gilroy out there. The Karlsson that we have seen all season is 10x the player that was on the ice tonight. Again, I hope he can regain form very soon because we are going to need him.

I (almost) feel bad for Thiessen. He didn\t deserve that beating.

If I ever see him, I owe him a drink.

Way to go boys! Huge huge win. Great to see the offence back and Anderson playing well. Great games from Spezza, Greening and Foligno too.

Gotta keep it going into Winnipeg on Monday. Still holding down 7th

I have never, in my entire life, seen a player take a breakaway pass inside his own blueline. That wasn't even on a turnover. Spezza must have been thinking "WTF?" when he looked up ice and saw nobody even close to him.

true. it seemed like he was trying to do too much, and failing.

I say its Andy that made the dif .... the confidence that the guys have in front of him.... we werent doing that great when Bishop got injured,...then something happened....Andy came in and everything changed and we got our mojo back, even Alfie after being mediocre last few games..wondering if he still had it, he even got a couple penalties...... all with bishop in goal, they love andy and they have confidence in him........makes a huge dif

And won the season series 3-1

But still would not want to play Crosby in the playoffs

I just HATE that guy's talent and overall game

Yeah no thanks to drawing the Pens in round 1 despite handling them over the course of the season. They just have too many weapons and can strike in too many ways. Also, they didn't have Fleury tonight so let's just put things into perspective and realize they are still the top dogs in the conference and I'd still much rather face the Rangers.

Well the transition was finally played with speed. We were picking the Penguins D apart all night because guys were turning the puck around with speed. But even still, Spezza breakaway from his own blue line? Jesus Christ.

He didn't look like Gilroy at all, pay attention to their difference in play. Karlsson even at his worst is far more positionally sound, is better at stealing the puck (particularly tonight). Is better on the break out, bar none... at his worst. He will never look like Gilroy, they are not even in the same stratosphere.

It's kind of funny, for a while there most posters on here wanted Carkner sitting in the pressbox. Now after seeing Gilroy play, Carkner doesn't seem so bad lol.
