can relate to the feelings of thrasher fans for wanting the preds to kick our butts tonite.when the jets went to phoenix they were not my team anymore and really hoped they did not succeed at all.(still do not like that team and am glad we got the thrashers over the coyotes anyday).anyway the jets need this one tonite and were gonna have to bring it big time playing the preds on the road.also don't mean to rub it in to any thrasher fans here but i love having the nhl back in the peg and i love this hockey team we have.
I am sorry for Atlanta hockey fans...
And it is not about poor hockey market. It is about poor managment. Atlanta is a very big market not to draw enough people into the stands. Just needed to do it the right way.
I'd like to know about this too. I took it to be former Atlanta fans saying "Eff you Thrashers, I'm a Preds fan now!". Am I wrong?
I had tickets to the game, but was unable to make it due to family obligations. However, when a buddy told me that Thrashers fans were throwing jerseys on the ice, I was thrilled because it's exactly what I wanted to do. Screw the Thrashers, screw the Jets, screw Bettman and Daly, screw the Octocluster. Go Canes, go Preds. The best thing about the Thrashers getting moved is that I don't have to pull for a wretched, horribly mismanaged team anymore.
I don't miss these bums anymore. I hope the Thrashers are perpetually stuck in 9th place.
Ridding myself of a worthless jersey would've been cathartic, but watching the Preds win a playoff game this spring will be even better.
It was obvious that at first a lot of the arena didn't get it that people in Thrash gear were rooting for the Preds(well mostly) and that we should have been welcoming them..
I think after the Gnash video everyone finally got it...
(for those of you not there the usual "Thundersturck" Gnash trashing the opposing teams mascot video was replaced by Gnash bringing Preds gear to a grieving Thrashers fan)

Meh to each their own I suppose. Throwing a jersey that was part of who I was for many years isn't something I would do.
Sorry, Thrasher fans. We apparently cannot have a thread on the main boards about the jersey tossing without every yokel on HF coming around to talk about relocation...

There was an entire thread dedicated just for that?

Must have gone up sometime after midnight because I don't think it had been created yet when I went to bed.
it's not even worth reading through.
I applaud the Thrashers fans that attended, hopefully you have even more reason to become a full-fleged Predators fan. You have the Braves for us, we have the Preds for you.
