Unbelievable loss, but I can't blame scratcho for the loss. Maybe getting this close and not getting in is a huge motivation and lesson for those that will be back next year. First time the avs won't be making the playoffs in back to back years.
I hope they are seriously looking to improve the D with Duchene as the trading chip.
I really don't know anymore if you guys are serious on that.
I see you're pissed and disappointed but if he keeps playing the way he did tonight + scoring he'll be fine.
I mean I would have loved him to score one as well to give us the win but come on, have some patience with that guy.
He's young, he's having an absolute tough year for a young forward, was injured for a lot of games and a long time.
I can't see why we would give up that quick on this guy???
Please remember this **** next year when you want to take nights off against your division, especially early on in the season. You just royally **** yourselves in the end.
I liked Trollver's game quite a bit tonight, he's not a long term solution as Duchene's winger of course because you need a more skilled winger there but good for now.
I saw this coming as soon as we started to sit back, typical team/Sacco to do that. We had them but just started trying to defend and it went downhill.
I can't believe the hate Duchene gets on here cos he's not scoring, he looked good outside of the end today, showed his quick hands and made some good passes. Was also able to get into space today and use his speed more. I wouldn't use him to get a 3rd-4th dman lol even if he was on the trade block. Trading your most skilled and one of your youngest players....not the way to go for a "rebuilding" team which some of you have forgotten.
More proof why the Avs blew it not getting a defenseman at the deadline. Barrie went into the corner way to slow, and got bumped completely out of the play with an average hit. Cost the Avs a point, and maybe the playoffs.
Of course it was too much to ask for this team to win a game up 2-0.
Why was the inexperienced Barrie on the ice at that moment?

This.
We can't blame duchene for the lost. Hockey is a team sport. Sure he missed some chances but the team does not want it enough.
