Kind of wish he would stay in the SEL for another year.

A good old look into the past. The Niklas Wikegard episode:

http://www.svt.se/svt/jsp/Crosslink....0&lpos=extra_0

http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportblade...cle11604811.ab

And thus Dick was placed with a "problem child" label on him.

Apparently no more HTD to the Red Wings, unless someone can translate this better?

Basically hes going paranoid that they might not want him and that the silence indicates that they will trade him. Either that or their just checking how his ego is and how long he can wait for a call before articles like this starts popping up.

First she states that he already have won gold once before(2009) and asks how he would compare himself then and now, and he says that he has matured as a player and takes more responsibility all over the ice, that he has worked alot on his defensive game. Then they talk about the blond guy (niklas wikegård) giving some comments a few years back about axelsson being a highly talented but idiot-like problem child. Pretty much mending fences because the channel wants to be on the good side of a possible future nhl pro.

So he's a drama queen who just has to have any kind of attention whatsoever. Kind of a waste of talent.

Dick says he will play for either MoDo or Skelleftea. Any thoughts, fans of MoDo and Skelleftea?

He signed for MoDo today, which sounds like a good option. I think he'd do great in both clubs, but he might be more of a star in MoDo than he would be in Skellefteå. Also, MoDo has Forsberg and Näslund as their General Managers, they are people that are good to know if you want to get to the NHL.

As a Skellefteå fan I'm slightly disappointed I guess, I would've loved to have him on my team, BUT, I also realize that we'd be extremely heavy on the winger-side then, we really do need a center to balance it all out a bit.

Our former NHL-players.

Can't say I'm surprised.

So he's no longer with Modo?

So has he left Djurgarden, Farjestads and Modo on less than amicable terms?

At least Modo didn't want him for the next season. He said so to the press. So he is leaving. He said he was moving home. Now where that is I don't know.

Stockholm. But AIK and DIF would never want him. Södertälje and Almtuna would be the other teams close, but I doubt he wants to play in Allsenskan. So.. I don't know, he only has himself to blame for the situation he's in.

I don't see a Swedish team signing him.
All teams must know what his deal is by now and they would be fools to sign him.
A change of scenery will probably not change anything but, who knows.. Switzerland next stop is my guess.

? Dick Axelsson was Färjestad's best player in the playoffs when they won SM-guld? So if that's what his deal is, I don't think any club would be a fool to sign him.

Do you really think his on-ice play is the issue? you do know who we're talking about?

Fact remains, Dick Axelsson helped FBK win SM-guld (was the biggest part of it) so obviously he's an effective player. Tell me how he infected that club?

Well then FBK better sign him, he's not welcome in DIF and there are a lot of clubs who've taken notice of his behavior.

OTH: he'd fit perfectly in Malmö..

FBK could happen, but we don't know how his relationship to that club is. He had an optional year on his contract with FBK but choosed not to use it. When he left them he thought he could get something better(probably Detroit or KHL). That didn't happen, he signed with Modo, and his value after this season is obviously lower. Dick needs a club like FBK way more than they need him right now.

We can scratch DIF, AIK, Modo from the list of possibles at least.

Oh well. He doesn't seem to be all that relevant in SEL.
