This is so true. I had a fan above me in a suite yelling " How ya like dem apples!!" for like 5 minutes straight..

Finally gave in and yelled " Yes apples are delicious!!"

Saw so many brand new Marchand and Lucic jerseys ugh.

Most amazing thing about tonight is we're only 2 pages deep after a loss.

I figured that Sutter was going to let Richards attempt to redeem himself in the third, and Richards did have a better effort, even if the third sucked for us as a team.

Our defense flat out sucked tonight. I don't care about Doughty's assist or Voynov's goal, I can't point to one defenseman who I would say had a good game. Doughty was particularly brutal; I don't need to go to the PGT; I just know you all saw that god-awful turnover for Boston's shorty, but he also sucked so bad in the first period you could almost see such a gaff coming.

I hate losing "winnable" games like this, but as someone said above, you can't win them all. Considering everyone else in the playoff hunt got at least one point in the West, we are still right there in the pack, so I can't complain.

That much.

There were no taunts in my section (334; that I heard anyway). Plenty of Bruin fans, happy that they won. But I was listening for any crap from the Bruin fans and didn't hear any.

In my book, Detroit and Vancouver fans are ****ing terrible to have to sit around or listen to at Staples. I haven't had a problem with any fans of any other teams (so far).

Thing is Boston fans are the biggest bandwagon fans there is! Yet they act like they are the "most loyal fan ever" type of bandwagon fan. The worst kind. I live in Connecticut. Work with a lot of people from Boston. I see it first hand everyday. Just go look at the Bruins attendance when they sucked. It was near the bottom of the league! Same thing with the Celtics. When I left here for LA you would be hard pressed to find anyone who could name single Boston Celtic. When I came back after they won the championship all I saw was Celtic jerseys. I even remember when nobody gave a crap about the Patriots.

Richards wasn't benched if that was what you were guessing.
No, Stoll played about 3-4 shifts between Carter and King and Richards was moved. This was during the 2nd period I believe and not in the first.

Wonder how many of these new Bruins fans have heard of Ray Bourque, Phil Esposito, Cam Neely, Terry O'Reilly, Ken Linesman, Stan Jonathan, Jay Miller, Wayne Cashman, you get the picture.

I'm sure not many noticed considering how much of a ghost Mike Richards has been for a while now.

Boston really were in our faces. Even though we made some dumb turnovers, give them a little credit for causing them. Still, shoulda had at least 4 goals tonight.

The team looked a bit tired, hopefully they get some rest and recharge physically and mentally for the big road trip. 4 games in 6 days, and 6 points is a must. The back to back is EDM/MIN, both are very winnable. Just keep bringing it, Kings, and the season might not come down to those last 2 games.

Here's Carter Stoll and King last 4 shifts in the 2nd

Stoll-
12 2 10:15 / 9:45 10:35 / 9:25 00:20
13 2 13:17 / 6:43 14:01 / 5:59 00:44
14 2 16:50 / 3:10 17:29 / 2:31 00:39
15 2 17:58 / 2:02 19:38 / 0:22 01:40

Carter
13 2 9:58 / 10:02 10:35 / 9:25 00:37
14 2 13:17 / 6:43 14:08 / 5:52 00:51
15 2 16:42 / 3:18 17:42 / 2:18 01:00
16 2 19:38 / 0:22 20:00 / 0:00 00:22

King
11 2 9:55 / 10:05 10:35 / 9:25 00:40
12 2 13:17 / 6:43 14:11 / 5:49 00:54
13 2 16:38 / 3:22 17:33 / 2:27 00:55
14 2 19:38 / 0:22 20:00 / 0:00 00:22

Richards
13 2 9:48 / 10:12 10:15 / 9:45 00:27
14 2 11:27 / 8:33 13:06 / 6:54 01:39
15 2 15:18 / 4:42 15:57 / 4:03 00:39

Lewis
7 2 8:13 / 11:47 9:10 / 10:50 00:57
8 2 11:27 / 8:33 13:06 / 6:54 01:39
9 2 15:18 / 4:42 15:57 / 4:03 00:39

Penner
7 2 8:13 / 11:47 9:10 / 10:50 00:57
8 2 11:27 / 8:33 13:06 / 6:54 01:39
9 2 15:18 / 4:42 15:57 / 4:03 00:39

He was definitely moved. Now what's also interesting those numbers for Penner and Lewis was all the time they saw in the 2nd period. They each got three shifts.

I second this. Great game, back and forth. Kings are my 2nd team and I go to a bunch of games. Happy my B's won though.

grncobra76, that apple line is hilarious. I seriously laughed out loud.

Ladyfan, I'm pretty sure I saw you there. 90's away Neely jersey right by Turco?

I was at the game tonight and I have to say that Boston fan are the most obnoxious people I have ever met at a sporting event. I had beautiful seats one row behind the glass and I was surrounded by Bruins fans. All but two of them were awful. The ones directly behind me were so nasty that it really made the whole game uncomfortable. They were ****ing cartoon characters or something out of a SNL sketch. They were loud, stupid and trying to start fights with anybody that would respond to them. They also never shut their mouths and I had to endure a constant stream of terrible "hockey analysis" It takes a real piece of **** to come into another team's barn and act like that. Southie scum.

My "2nd team" is anyone who is playing the Canucks.

Earlier this year, the Canucks beat the Kings and some numbskull Canuck fan was saying some stupid **** after the game about the Kings, and I just said "How about them Bruins?"

That shut him up.

Jeez...people behind me act like they know what is going on, than ask what icing is and think the most routine save by Thomas is an act of god save. And THAN there was there screeching/gutteral noises the crazy women were yelling Bruins with. Think I was sitting in front of a not very hairy howler monkey at times...

Not happy with the game. Too many mistakes by the 2nd line and D. Love Timmy but boy did he make me angry tonight with his play

I like their Octoberfest, Winter Lager and Pumpkin Ale...

But i'll take a Deschutes Black Butte or a Rogue Hazelnut Nectar any day every day all day.

God I love craft beer.

PS. I was i section 312 with TONS of Bruins fans and they were great. Loud, rowdy, but knowledgeable peeps and they just plain respected the game. The one guy just kept talking about Kopitar, saying how he wanted him on his team, and kept yelling out UMass when Quick made a good save heh.

I had some very cool Bruins fans behind me. They kept telling Kopitar as he was skating up ice "GET SOME SLEEP."

But they also ragged on their own guys.

All in all, they were cool to talk to and fun to hang around with. I know some fans can be obnoxious (as some Kings fans can be), but hopefully they won't all be put in the same category.

^^ Well said KP.

I've had nights where I have run into nothing but pompous ass, snarky Vancouver fans. Same as San Jose. But then we meet em later on in the season and you meet some nice ones.

Unless they are Ducks fans...

Cause we all know ALL of them suck

Sitting up in the rafters he can look like he is skating in sand sometimes, but it is very deceptive...everything looks to be in slow motion in the 300s but the reality is they are going a lot faster than that.

I think the funniest thing I heard in terms of Bruins fans ragging on their own players were:

Calling Marchand "nose-face"
"If Caron is still on this team tomorrow I quit."
"The only way Rolston would be useful on the powerplay is if he took off his skate and tried to stab people" (that one made me laugh so hard)
And when the chants came around for let's go kings they joined voice and promptly yelled "Yank-ees suuuck"

Incredibly annoying group of Boston fans in the 323 and 324. They were drunk by the start of the national anthem and they were yelling homosexual slurs at Kings fans for most of the 1st period. Security was called and they swallowed their tongues until the 3rd. Truly classless.

I was in sect. 104, so it was close to ice level. They were making the remark about Kopitar because of the bags/dark circles under his eyes

They made some great remarks though throughout the game:

Whenever Caron fell: "Was Wheeler cloned?"
On Seidenberg's play in the beginning: "We should threaten to dress Corvo in his place

Very winnable game, that's why tonight was frustrating. I think Brown said something to the effect of play like that and you'll win more games than you lose...I don't totally disagree, but hopefully they learned how much errors are magnified in a game like that. Few breakdowns lost the game. And bounces, and lady luck, but mostly breakdowns.

Richards and especially Doughty were absolute garbage tonight. Really disappointing. We need better from Doughty if we're to have any success.

I'm actually semi-impressed w/Kopitar's line...it can't be easy fighting through Bergeron and Chara.

Argh, so close yet so far. A point would have been nice. Onto the next one...hope they can stay up for these!
