Shame that JJ has (or is he gone there already..?) to go to prison (+probably won't get a gig in any channel after what he did), I really liked him as a commentator.

From the current line-up, Mustakari isn't too bad, but for the love of god- keep Salo as far away as possible from any race.
Kyllönen retired at the right time but somehow I've disliked Saari from the day one. I just don't like his voice and personality...like in radio there is so many radio voices that I can't stand not much about what they say but the way they sound. In Saari's case I often even don't like what he says though he is better now than in his first years. Mustakari is still the "brains" there even though he is getting old and oh my what about that guy Pulkkinen behind the scenes...he looks and sounds like a bad comedy character

Another 1-2 quali for McLaren, wow. Guess their nose gamble is paying off.

Vettel finished Q3 on the hard tire (and still managed to improve his time). Will be interesting to see how that strategy plays out tomorrow.

Kimi is still improving...mayde some mistakes in the first sting in q3 and gear box replacement drops him to 10th...but it's better than last week's 17th. Plus he beat his team mate in time.

McLaren looks strong but let's see how Red Bull does in the race.

So is Ferrari going to build a new car?

Jeez, get Salo the **** out of there he's beyond horrible as a commentator.

Give JJ a conference call to the prison or something, anything is better than Salo.

Also, he seemed genuinely insulted by Schumi's mock at him that how he had fitted in the old Ferrari that he drove last week.

You know, Speed Channel has a long way to go to catch up to the production level of the BBC and Sky.

I despised Schumacher during his first stint in F1, but it would be nice for him to get a podium tomorrow.

I hate his voice but I actually like the video. It's different from the normal F1 stuff...I remember seeing similar stuff from some Japanese tv.

I'm surprised how much the weather has already cleared up. The track was seemingly under a lake at the start of the race.

Damn Perez had that right in his hand...

ed: Lots of accusations that Ferrari ordered Perez (through Sauber) to back off. Somehow that was the reason Perez had an off? Nonsensical.

What hapenned to him? I know he had gearbox issues in the first race. Still finished with points this race.

Edit: Nevermind, just reading up on the race. Spun out by Grosjean. Nothing but bad luck for Schumi so far. He's shown how fast the car can go in qualifying.

Sounds like an exciting race. Was just a little too early in the morning (4am) for me to commit to it.

It did look quite suspicious, and it wouldn't be the first time that Ferrari has abused Sauber nor the first time that Alonso has bended the rules like he wants without any consequences.

Happy for Perez, liked the kid since his GP2 days.

Iceman turns into ice cream man. Mmmm... Ice cream...

Massa is on a short leash now... wouldn't be surprised if he's replaced mid-season by some unknown Mexican... Then, one of Massa, Jules Bianchi, Esteban Gutierrez and Nick Heidfeld driving for Sauber for the remainder of the year.

Kimi and Magnum: classic

Valtteri Bottas: should already be in F1...he is the next Finn to hit it big in F1. Beat Maldonado in the practise for example.

Massa: time is running out...even though you can clearly see Ferrari's car is made just for Alonso's needs and Massa just has to learn drive a car that doesn't suit his hands.

Noise about Bahrain (predictably) getting louder. Talk of some teams not wanting to attend, Bernie saying he can't force teams to go there. Hard to tell fact from fiction at times - but above all political considerations, I just hope the correct decision is made regarding the safety of those involved.

But until then, China!

Apparently Kimi's driver drove him to the airport instead of the track.

Kimi missed the press conference and Lotus spokesman said: "We have lost him somewhere in China"

Hamilton will lose 5 spots on the grid due to gear box change.

I just don't understand why couldn't they drive the F1 race in Qatar instead of Bahrain? The Losail International Circuit in Doha, Qatar is less than 500km away from Bahrain, and it has hosted at least some good MotoGP races and a GP2 race.

Vettel didn't make Q3!? Whaaaat?

Schumy once again makes top5 on the Grid. Lets hope his car doesn't fail him again.

Let's see if Grosjean can actually complete more than 10 laps.

wow I watched my first qualifying of the season today and I'm shocked how ugly th cars are. Came into this thread and saw that this is the consensus

I loved the 2006 cars, especially ferrari and renault

anyone rememer this?

stumbled upon that while looking for the ferrari picture. I love how this was supposed to dethrone the ferrari dominance... williams cars were so georgeus before Ralf Schuhmacher and Juan Pablo Montoya, ah, good times
