No kidding.

I would literally shake my head in amusement when people who fill-in their imaginary 'dream line-up' for the playoffs and would have Kreider automatically slotted on our 2nd line.

People love Cinderella stories in the playoffs.

Kid isnt going to score every game. He played well. He was effective on the PK, made the usual nice rushes up the ice, applied the pressure in the offensive zone. He stands out because is past the college level of play. His speed and size out there shows he should be in the Pros

Now that BC is in the frozen 4, there's no sense rooting against them. So go BC! Chris, go lead them to the championship.

Yeah, I know, i'm messing with you.

BC have to be the massive odds-on favorite now. Are they going to concede any goals this tournament?

Wouldn't bet on it. Their defense has looked great, and Milner made some big saves when he had to. Not to mention they've won 17 straight. They're the favorite for sure, but anything can happen when it's one game that decides everything.

The Rangers are going to need depth if they make any type of playoff run. The prozac nature of this topic is amazing. When the team is playing well, its we don't need Kreider. When the team is struggling, its we need a boost. When Zuccarello got hurt, its we need Kreider. Rangers management didn't make any moves at the deadline because they are planning to play Kreider this season. What is the alternative? John Scott? Move Stu Bickel to the wing again? Kris Newbury? Casey Wellman? Mats Zuccarello has a broken wrist. The Rangers are not going to use just 12 forwards for the rest of the season. Unless they are planning on getting bounced in the first round of the playoffs.

He signs. Reports to the AHL. Plays some games there. The Rangers still have 2 more call ups remaining. Teams get 4 call ups after the trading deadline. Tim Erixon and Zuccarello took up 2 call ups. Chad Johnson was recalled on an emergency basis when Henrik Lundqvist was out with the flu. When the Whale are finished playing the Rangers can call up anyone they want. The 4 call up rule no longer applies. The AHL team finishes April 15. The Whale have clinched a playoff spot but they'll have their usual first round playoff exit.

My point is if the Rangers intend to be playing well into the spring, they are going to need more than just 12 forwards on the roster.

BC is really good team that has a good chance of winning another championship. This is great experience for Kreider.

Looks like we signed Yogan and used our 4th call up...

Fingers crossed that Kerider can get himself another NCAA Championshi before signing here.

He's worked his tail off for it.

Lets go BC

April 5th, if BC loses.

Otherwise, April 7th is their last game.

Who's to say Kreider would leave school before his semester is over to play in New York?

BTW I think he's totally ready to be inserted right into the lineup.

I honestly do not expect him to be with us for the playoffs, I can see him with the Whale, then making the team next season. I just want the kid signed already, before we lose him!
