Man, Azevedo has been tearing it up lately! Good for him! Hope he can translate his game to the NHL when he gets the opportunity. Gonna be tough because of his size, but it can be done. Rooting for him!
That line-up doesn't have much size especially with Johnson sitting and King, Nolan in LA. Ouch. They need Andreoff and Toffoli down there soon next year or they look like the Montreal Canadians from last year...
As a result of the newest additions, the Monarchs have reassigned J.D. Watt to Ontario. Curious to see if Weal and Andreoff see any games. Manchester is in a tight playoff race with only 5 games to go.

Curious on that as well. I said in the CHL prospect thread I'd like to see AA get into a game or two in place of Clune, Legein, Meckler, or Hunter's spot. Weal I'm just not sure where he fits in with Kozun, Azevedo, O'Neill in the lineup... Too many small guys already.
I can't see Mark Morris sitting any of his older players or guys who put the team in this position in favor of two junior players. They'll get to practice with the team and get used to traveling on the road and get adjusted to the AHL schedule. I can't see them getting into any games unless somebody gets hurt. Their time with the Monarchs will come next season when there will be a few openings for them.
Loktionov seems to have stopped producing. What's going on there? Did the Kings sap him of his mojo?
From the looks of it, his game is just struggling. Loki has never had a Full season at the AHL level; he has been bounced around or injured.
His game is going to suffer because of this.
The same happened with Moller. Loki needs to spend a Full year with the Monarchs next season. Put Tyler and Andy on his line, Loki would put up some wicked assist numbers.

If I was Loki, in this case I would be looking for a contract in the KHL/SEL next year.
I don't understand why he would do that, Slava put in the time and effort, worked out for him.
How dumb do you think Bud Holloway feels right about now ? if he wants a shot at the NHL that is.
The whole reason Holloway bolted to Europe is because he never got called up even though he was Manchester's leading scorer the past 2 seasons and great in the playoffs as well. DL called up everyone but Holloway, and then made no contact with him over the summer when his contract was up.
Yeah he might have gotten a chance eventually, but how you can call him dumb is a mystery to me. The choice he made was perhaps not the right one regarding a NHL career but a logical one.
I dont see Loktionov spend another full year in the AHL. Yes Voynov is with the big club right now but it was close or he would have been gone too.
Loktionov has to realize himself that 7 points in 39 games isn't gonna cut it and take personal responsibility for it. He probably isn't happy about playing in the AHL but if he's blaming his wingers, the coach, system or anything else but himself for that I'll be disappointed. He's gotta be contributing on the scoresheet, he's just got to.

Hope you are wrong about Loki, I think you will be.
Everyone said slava was gone after his first season with Manchester...

I agree about the 7 points in 39 games and that I have been a little bit disappointed in Lokti's play this year as well. But every Kings player had problems to get on the scoresheet this year. I think its a 1+1=2 situation. But okay, his overall play wasnt always good either.
Last season, however, I thought he was pretty good and was still demoted after a good stint.
I also think Lokti is one of the best Kings players on the PP when he has the puck on his stick. A full year in the AHL will be be devastating for his motivation IMO.
BTW, you both live in North-America (BigBrown, damacles) ? I always see you guys posting when I do but its pretty early up there. Its 1.30 PM here in Europe right now.

Not sure if there are many Monarchs fans in here as opposed to Kings fans monitoring prospects, but the Monarchs moved a lot closer to the playoffs last night. The Caps beat the Pirates 5-2 at Mile One. Pirates could have moved to within one point of the Monarchs and the Crunch with a win, but came out totally flat, no jump in their game at all. Surprising really.

There are both . Thanks for the update.

Don't you see the Swedish flag on my left, or the "Location: Sweden" bit?
My posting can be a bit all over the place though. I am currently self employed so sometimes I'm up all night watching Kings games and other times I go to bed nice and early.
