if Gilroy played 8 mins he would be as invisible as Carkner.

it is Cowen we have to worry about...i think he can step up but the playoffs might be tough but this is all part of learning

Anyways Maclean keeping a winning lineup as he does unless someone is tired being 3rd game in 4 nights

I have said this time and time again. Cowen makes or breaks our defense.

That's why I say re-sign Kuba and a guy like Garrison/Mitchell etc... Let Cowen build his game on the third pairing with 16 minutes a night and get better.

He's better when he plays more. He wasn't that bad on Saturday. Might have been a little too aggressive at times. On the Crosby spin-o-rama, he stepped up but took out a man did he not? A forward needed to be back regardless.

Winnipeg's game is full-out attack. If our defense is caught sleeping then this game will be high-scoring or blow-out. We need to tighten up defensively and counter on their attacks. They will be a desperate team looking for goals.

The first 2 Penguin goals were the end result of Cowen caught pinching in and forcing Karlsson to play a 2 on 1.

Don't recall the first one, but on the Crosby spin-o-rama, Cowen pinching turned a 3-on-2 into a 2-on-1 where the guy was forced to make a great play almost in the corner

Wasn't the second one when Cowen kept the puck in at the blueline and tried passing it to Turris who was taken down?

Big game from alot of the veterans last game, would be nice to see some of the youngsters, Karlsson, Cowen, Smith, Condra, Greening can have a big game.
