Beating Detroit is always fun. Hopefully we can figure out how to get two points. I think I read somewhere Mason has new art on his mask or something like that. Maybe I was dreaming it. Either way, I would have laughed had we sent York out there against Detroit.
It's quite amazing how little I care about the result of this game. Now if we were actually going to eliminate Detroit from contention, I would care. But at 95 points, they pretty much have a spot wrapped up.
The only team I really have the desire to beat left on our schedule is the Avs.
At this point I really don't care what happens. A win would be nice, but quite frankly, a loss doesn't bother me anymore. How many players wearing a Jacket sweater on the ice tonight can you really say will be playing here come next October? Detroit's been in a funk lately, so I'd exepct them to jump on the Jackets and try to get things going before the playoffs start.
Don't care about tonight. I'm throwing on my Bob Probert Wings jersey and cheering them on as I watch my VHS copy of the game they played 15 years ago tonight.
And yes, I dug my VCR out of mothballs for just this occasion. It will be Bloddy Wednesday once again.
You've gotta love it when visiting fans from other teams show more enthusiasm than our own fanbase, eh?

Yes, my away game ritual is all set up. Can't help myself, will keep rooting through April 7. There is never a doubt in my mind whether to support this team or not. Just keep doing it.
Love beating Detroit, but they are unreal at home this year. Eh, maybe we will get lucky and win. Hopefully the Wings are having a case of the "Mondays". Want Preds to have home ice over them. Go Jackets. Fire Priest. Fire Howson. Get rid of Mason.
Now that we have clinched I want a big win tonight, and tomorrow too... Detroit is my least favorite team in the NHL. If we can beat them a couple of times it might impact their playoff momentum.. a stretch I know but it would be fun to smoke them a couple of times regardless.
Mason was so far out of his net that someone could have come down out of he stands and put that one in. Great start. He must be gone. It's just not possible that he'd be back. Is it?
