Prospects possibly cracking the Bulldogs' 2012-13 lineup

Which prospects do you see playing in Hamilton at the start of next season?

For my part, here's who I see who could crack their lineup:

Nathan Beaulieu
Danny Kristo
Jarred Tinordi
Brendan Gallagher
Michael Bournival
Greg Pateryn
Morgan Ellis
Patrick Holland

Good group of young prospects who will get a chance to go pro next year. Who do you think will?

Does Pateryn have any chance?

Delmas has only played a game so far, but won it and allowed 1 goal on 27 shots. I'm sure he'll be licking his chops at a more permanent role next season.

Send a message via MSN to WeThreeKings
I don't know if they have plans to bring Daniel Pribyl over next year (probably better to spend next year in the Czech elite league).

John Westin must be signed this year; I believe.

There is a big influx of Habs prospects coming through the pipeline right now.

People don't realize the prospects that could come out of the juniors for the Habs in the next couple of years. There's a lot of talent for sure.

Brendan Gallagher has a good chance of jumping right up to the big leagues. He's determined and it wouldn't surprise me if he did.

I would think that he def has the talent to make the team. I hope the 7 d-men on the Bulldogs next year are:

Tinordi
Ellis
Beaulieu
Pateryn
Henry
St Denis
Nash (Hoping he's healthy)

I think Montreal should take its time. Hope he take 1-2 more years as pro.

That's exactly the D I'm hoping for too.

Henry can do for Beaulieu what he did for Subban.
St. Denis would be a good steady partner for Tinordi.
That leaves Nash with either Ellis or Pateryn or Stejskal. That's a nice deep D to have in Hamilton. 8 guys.

I'm worried about our goaltending tho.

I'm really excited to see what Holland can do in the AHL, same for Gallagher.

Pumped to see all these guys play and follow them through the season. It would have made this season much more tolerable if the dogs had been worth following.

Is Leblanc still able to play for the Dogs next year? Theyre gonna have a heck of a team at the farm so id like to see him go down there and help dominate on a winning team and get some real quality ice time down there where he can polish his offensive game. Theres really no place for him on the Habs right now imo i dont want him just being a third line checker where theres potential for him to be a 2nd line guy.

Yes he will still be eligable.

I also think they should send him down so he can dominate, I'd play him with Gallagher.

One things for sure, the defence in Hamilton won't be small next year. The smallest out of the 4 rookie d-men is Morgan Ellis who is 6 foot 2, 196 pounds...pfff..shrimp

Morgan Ellis- 6 foot 2, 196 pounds
Nathan Beaulieu- 6 foot 3, 191 pounds
Greg Pateryn- 6 foot 3, 214 pounds
Jarred Tinordi- 6 foot 7, 212 pounds

Returning (Hopefully)

Alex Henry- 6 foot 5, 220 pounds
Brendon Nash- 6 foot 3, 206 pounds
Frederic St Denis- 5 foot 11, 190 pounds

One of these doesn't fit with the rest...

If the majority of our "big" defenseman can translate to the NHL, man oh man... All we need is a few very solid forwards and we are going to be a force for years to come.

I always thought Ellis was 6 foot. And I thought he was a LH shot. Just looking at TSN they say he is 6'1 and a RH shot. Not that there's much difference between 6' and 6'1, but being a RH shot is good because the Habs have much more depth on the left side. I really like what I've seen and read about Ellis, I think he has the potential to be like Gorges.

I agree with your post, but this "not like the others" D has shown that he is a legit player, he could crack an NHL roster next year IMHO, and could possibly become a legit 3rd pairing D.

However, I hope a Beaulieu - Tinordi pairing will be tried at some point.

As much as I am a homer for Michigan players, I have real doubts about Pateryn being able to keep up. He's a bit slow in skating and reading plays and has to stay very, very conservative to be effective. Playing with Bennett helped him a lot as Bennett is a great skater and could take more risks.

Hope he proves me wrong and is a rock in Hamilton.
