Avs don't seem to realize that they are playing for their hockey lives.

Man Varly has made about 15 point blank saves tonight.

Would like to point out that we didn't use our time out. I guess at no point did the momentum swing against us

We have a chance if we win out, but I just don't see the team doing that after blowing these last 3 games.

Yup. They are playing too nervous and are not able to handle mentally this added pressure. Their lack of experience is painfully obvious now.

Shane O'Brien does something stupid every shift tonight, except when he scored

Should have used it after that second goal. Just another night where Sacco gets outcoached by a Pacific coached team no bigie

Breaking news: Sacco has been fired and replaced by the tan guy who feeds Deadmarsh cold cuts.

I lol'd at that too. Earlier on the same shift Wilson was trying to move Murray and couldn't budge him. Then Olver goes in there like a junkyard dog. Love that guys heart.

They still have a slim shot after tonight, but given the way they're playing it will be tough. They're very fortunate that they got help tonight from both Vancouver and Calgary, yet they can't capitalize.

Not just that, desperate teams get everything in deep, they go hard to the boards and they crash the net like crazy. The Avs are skating around, trying to be cute, stupid drop passes...just non-desperate hockey.

**** this team. They're still not building the team right. Trying to build a team with a bunch of grinders. Sacco clearly doesn't get through to some of our offensive players. Can't inspire the team when they need to be inspired.

I don't want to become the next C-Bus Jackets, we currently are getting there with our last 4-5 years. I really see a coaching change as the only thing that will turn this around for us.

Alright, I am going to risk teeing off posters in here and give you another gem. My friend says that EJ is the slowest skater on the team. I told him Mueller was, by far, the slowest and most sluggish skater and he said "that is outrageously wrong and an insult to Mueller".

HAAAH.

Agreed. They just do not know what to do in this situation.
