Completely forgot about him, wouldn't be surprised to see him behind the bench if we fire Sacco. He has PL connections.

I was thinking assistant like he was under Crawford briefly, maybe even a fallback plan if the Avs stumble out of the gate, but either way, meh...

Martin would actually be a good fit for this squad as currently comprised.

Sylvain Lefebvre he will become the next coach of the Phoenix Sherbrooke?

Rumor has for some time in the closed circles of the QMJHL. A surfer has rekindled the debate on Friday morning on Twitter, announcing that the deputy in the Colorado Avalanche became the first head coach in the history of the new concession of Sherbrooke.

When contacted, the owner and team president Jocelyn Thibault did not deny that his good friend would be a good choice. Lefebvre is appreciated by his colleagues and players around him.

Out of respect for the Avalanche, Thibault and his group say they have not addressed the issue with Lefebvre, still under contract with the NHL team until the end of the season.

Wow if Sacco is still here next year without Lefebvre, it's gonna be a complete ****show. Lefebvre is easily the best thing on that coaching staff.

No kidding. More Sacco?

Fire the entire coaching staff and start anew.

This. Although I think Sacco has done some good things, I still think we should look elsewhere and start fresh next season.

I agree. Throwing Deadmarsh a bone and making him video coach was fine but promoting him to assistant coach after one season was just dumb. They all need to go.

If they don't go with Roy or someone already in the system, then I could see Hartley or Martin getting the job.

I still can't believe they promoted a video coach without any real coaching experience to a assistent coach job in NHL.... Avs in-house hiring is a joke at times. What's next, promoting a accountant to GM and pretend he is the one making the decisions?

It'd be a strange precedent for a team to exceed expectations then fire the entire coaching staff.

Sacco wouldn't be fired, his contract is up and I'm sure they'll let the new HC (if Sacco isn't extended) pick his staff.

They said at the start of the season that this was a playoff team. Looks like we didn't meet those expectations.

I would say this will be a good chance to bring in a new coach, and let him bring in his own staff.

Good luck to Sly. I am sure he will make a good coach.

This will probably be for the better.

I don't want to get into many details, but he does not have a good relationship with many of the players. He is also the only "yeller" on the coaching staff and has had confrontations with three players over the course of the season.

Best of luck to him.

Yes, and two other players as well on different occasions.

I would get into it with SOB too, this guy thinks he's the next coming of Bobby Orr and is too slow to come back when he's caught

Yikes. And since he's responsible for the defense, that's like almost half the guys he's in charge of...

TPS, do you think it's just a coach trying to put his foot down or something deeper?

SOB should know his limits a bit better. At least ROB knows his limits and plays easily within his own limits.
