I agree we got him for nothing. But I would rather get a little something for nothing than trade nothing for nothing.

Morrison was already moved down to the 4th line in the 2nd. I doubt he will dress in the next game, especially if Kruger is back.

This.

I think I'll go shoot some nails into my knee tonight rather than watching Nashville/St. Louis. I don't think there's a more dull matchup possible.

Yup, that boring defensive style played by Nashville sucks, oops, they have scored only 11 less goals than the the High Flyin' Hawks.

Ah, I'll continue waiting patiently for the day when people realize scoring chances, rather than goals, are what makes hockey exciting.

A game between Nashville and the Blues will have about as many scoring chances as the Hawks have shutouts. What fun!

Yep, the Hawks are +9, while the Preds are +22 goal differential.

You must hate playoff hockey. Hey, I’m all for an exciting game but when it comes down to crunch time it is solid defensive hockey that will win most of the time. And it doesn’t have to be dull either. Entertaining hockey comes in more than just lots of scoring chances. I happen to think the Blues-Preds game tonight will be an entertaining one with plenty of spirit, grit and physical hockey … and I think if you watched it you’d be surprised at how many scoring chances take place; that’s where good goaltending comes into play. One day the Hawk team may have those aspects to go with their offensive talent.

I love playoff hockey. Just because intensity and physicality is driven up doesn't mean scoring chances suddenly disappear in the playoffs.

The Blues and Preds, meanwhile, put me to sleep whether it's the regular season or not. Get up 1-0 and the game immediately becomes a complete snorefest.

I don't define "entertaining hockey" as 60 minutes of neutral zone play, dump-ins, and some hitting. I actually want the teams to, y'know, at least threaten to score once in a while. But maybe I'm alone there - if that's the case, then I admit to having a unique viewpoint.

Playoff hockey has very immediate consequences though... meaning, every scoring chance (where in the playoffs, there are less of them) mean so much more. That's what makes playoff hockey so great, on top of the physicality and passion that you see from the players.

When you watch regular season games with very few scoring chances but nothing more at stake than 2 points and maybe jumping up/down a few spots in the standings, it's not as exciting. I like games against the Blues because there's a bit of a rivalry going... but Nashville?

Nashville's just one of those teams where it's hard for anyone to really hate them. There's really no bad blood between us... so when there's not very many scoring chances and Rinne is constantly shutting us down, then yeah, it's going to be a bit harder for us Hawks fans to get into it.

I'm sure Nashville fans love it, and that's why they are so adamant about saying they don't play "boring hockey". Same goes for any fanbase who roots for a team that other fans would say is boring. There's nothing wrong with playing a tight defensive game and to an extent, people get mad when they can't score on them and say that it's "boring"... but that's what the casual hockey fan wants to see, goals and fights.
