Well that isn't good. Hopefully it's nowhere near severe
Yea I was going to say, I work in the medical field, and even a small chip can be a bad thing. Dont know why some think it's just a small thing that will be over for a few days rest.
EDIT: Seems like its a VERY VERY small chip, so he got lucky.
BTW, Baca is called. Just wanted to say, Baca is worse than Leighton... by a lot. Lets just really hope Bob doesnt get hurt, or I'll be flying to Finland to see if Hoivinen wants to play (even though he's injured also)
Also Bourdon was recalled. I watched him the past 2-3 games. He has looked pretty bad since his injury. Hopefully he can go back into the form he was in with the Flyers.

Now why wouldn't they recall Leighton? I understand that he would have to pass through re-entry waivers, correct? But his contract expires at the end of this year, so if he was claimed, the Flyers would only take half his salary for the rest of this year. I'm really not aware of the exact cap situation, but if by some chance Leighton was claimed, would it put the Flyers over?
HOLMGREN ON BRYZ: "We don't think this is a serious injury. We're hoping that he'll be back practicing on the ice on Friday with the idea that he can play on the weekend.
Oh no great ready for the requires surgery press release.

The fact that Homer seems to have lost all of his credibility over the past few reports about injuries makes me not even want to listen to what he has to say. It's almost to the point where it's irrelevant

Seriously, it just doesn't add up. Medical sites and individuals in the medicial profession state that this injury is serious, yet Homer's words are "day to day".
We can only pray that it is extremely small. I dont know how much more BS from Homer Flyers fans can take if this turns out to be serious.
If Bryz doesn't get back in time for the playoffs, this team is absolutely toast. No way Bob can backstop such a pathetic defensive system...
But actually, this might be a blessing in disguise. I'd much rather they lose all of their remaining games and slip to the 6th seed to face the Panthers, rather then face the Rags/Pens in the first round. Say what you want about honour etc... but hockey is a business, and if they can win one round and increase profits for the team, and let the young guys get some experience. Would you rather they get blown out in the first round, or the second round?

Hate this idea. Alot. You don't go out like no punk *****. Not ever.
1. Bryz is back for the last 1 or 2 regular season games
2. Bob sucks and we go on a losing streak
3. We get Florida in the first round instead of the Penguins

This attitude is so pathetic. We would beat the Penguins. 5 games, 6 max if we have to start in Pittsburgh.
Rangers are the only team in the East that the Flyers would be a dog against IMO.
