To Chain's OP, I think BUF has tied not just a team record, but an NHL record with 30 individual goal scorers.

Who's next? Sulzer???

Edit: nevermind- I see he already scored for BUF.

Pretty sure Sulzer has one goal for us... can't remember which game though.

Sulzer has a goal with Buffalo, he got a goal before Hodgson did.

The last team to have more than 30 players score a goal in a season was the 2006-07 Phoenix Coyotes with 32.

No, I'm feeling confident in this game. These guys are firing on all cylinders and Miller>Fleury. Also, the Pens lost to the Islanders tonight. Lets pounce.

I am not saying they will quit, but....

It wouldn't hurt a thing if they backed off the gas pedal a bit.
Yeah Ovechkin and Semin aren't those kinda guys

Goose out and CoHo in has completely redefined the way this team plays. Obviously, with a healthy Ennis. It really is that simple, 1 stud on each line (26, 29 & 63), 1 above average guy on each (9, 21 & 19) and 1 banger type (23, 72 & 82). It's so balanced.

Keep it up guys....

Saw this comment posted on NHL.com's game recap:
Quote:
Ovechkin: Hey Pominville, whatcha thinkin about?
Pominville: Nothin, just playoff stuffs.

Conversation Ovechkin had while laying on the ice as Pominville stripped him of the puck and scored.

Just alluded to this in the Roy thread. Hodgson's mere presence has deepened us a ton. Even the four games where he didn't play that well, we till seem like more of a challenge to tackle, perpetually rolling scoring lines that don't have frequent brain farts or defensive zone letdowns.

Not to be an ass but isn't that what we got him for? We now have three top 6 centers with none of them having the full pressure of being a top 6 center.

I've been very impressed with his Pking.

I would hope that more thought was put into it than "we will be deeper for this playoff chase run if we get him for BZK"... Im sure we got him because his upside is tremendous, Regier obviously liked that, his offensive skill is superior to a lot of guys and is still a work in progress - had to also be appealing to our staff. You pointed out his PK abilities, which have been a pleasant surprise.

A move that helps now and for the foreseeable future... You have to love those.

Wow I don't have any bad or ugly thing to say about this game except Ehrhoff injury. That was really impressive effort by the whole team.

FES. It's the perfect line. I always said all Ennis needed was more puck touches and o-zone room. Foligno was the missing ingredient, he provides space for his line mates and plays the game correctly. Stafford is a sick hybrid of Foligno and Ennis. When his confidence reaches a level like this, he's scary good.

The defense was good.

The best game of Sekera's career in my opinion. Showed up big in a big, big game.

Miller casted Wall of Iron with level 20 duration.

It's interesting. Ennis and Foligno seem to compliment his game in a way that I can see Stafford keeping it up. He seems to be at his best when he doesn't have to be the most physical guys on his line, or the most talented guy on his line. It's like he's just really adept at balancing between the two.

Been a while since I've done one of these.....

Good:
Miller....made it look super easy tonight.
Defense....Played great even with hoff going down, and sekera and leopold both missing some time
Leopold....with over 27 minutes he was out there nearly half the game.....props
FES....great game. 2 goals and great puck posession...love their swagger right now
Foligno....prooving darcy right...he's doing everything kassian could and more...can't ask more of him.
Ennis....made the caps look stupid many times....the guy is like the energizer bunny....keeps going and going and going...
Stafford....Definatly earning his paycheck now...
Pommer....oh captain my captain! That shorty was amazing....not only did he steal the puck from ovie, but I'm pretty sure he skated off with his dignity...and possibly his wallet. The guy is so consistant...leads by example, and scores clutch goals....the kind of guy every team wants.
VHT....solid game TV with a goal. Not sure if tropp is playing well or the other two are just making him look good...either way I'm ok with it.

Bad:
Injuries....not cool man
The Caps....choke much?

Ugly:
The Refs.....did their best to giftwrap this game for Washington....called EVERYTHING against buffalo, but not a single **** was given abount the blatant penalties washington was commiting...
Miller getting run again....

-Everyone. See other posts for details; I'm here to bring up one that people won't.

-Sulzer
In the haze of victory it'll be lost that his pairing partner, Ehrhoff, whom he's built great chemistry with, went down. With the reputation the Canuck's fans placed on him when he came over, the injury to Ehrhoff could've been his chance to prove his true mettle. And he did. He was incredibly sound in the defensive zone, made a few good pinches in the offensive zone, and most people will completely overlook his play, meaning he held down the back end like a rock.

B:
-Ehrhoff needs to return yesterday. I don't want to miss him long term.

U:
-Troy Brouwer. Unneccessary, classless, sign of a *********.

The Excellent: Mid February 2012: 0.29% chance of making the playoffs. Please let us show the odds whats good.
