The bolts are like Rodney dangerfield in the NHL. Everyone was so pissed when they won the cup and get zero credit when they play well. Also we're not a hockey market.
I'm proud of how we played. On a back to back against Philly and Boston on the road, with our injuries and call-ups, we had no business hanging on in this game as long as we did. We were dead tired and out skilled/etc, but we battled hard to stay alive. We were there almost to the end of the 3rd so I'm proud of how we went up against Boston.

Canes fan coming in piece. I really wished you guys could have won that one. I feel like you all got the short end of the stick on the non goalie interference call. I mean, Kelly was in the crease. How was Roloson supposed to make a play on the puck when Kelly is in the way? I also feel like the no goal call was iffy. If the irrefutable evidence didn't exist and I was working in Toronto, I would have called it a good goal. You could tell the puck was in the back of Thomas' glove which was a pretty good distance behind the line. I know that is filling in missing pieces, but that is the way I see it.
Anyways, good luck for the rest of the season and next season. If the Canes are out of it again next year , y'all are the ones I'd like to take the division.
P.S. Stamkos is un ****ing real with that slapper.
Tough ending. Love our teams effort. Too bad Roli didn't find his groove earlier this year or they'd be in the playoffs now.
Well, technically no, they'd still be in the regular season, but point taken.
Serious question: How do the refs know when a tv timeout is over and it's 'safe' to drop the puck?
Loaded, slippery slope question: Is that not an instance of the refs taking orders from tv networks as to how games should be conducted, and an instance of instilling the sense of game management for the 'greater good' of the game in mind? (i.e., the ref could drop the puck before being told it was okay to by the networks, but face the wrath of the league itself for not putting the 'good of the game' above all else?)

Not sure if this answers your question or not, but there's a light by the penalty box that's on during a tv timeout and goes out when they return to action....someone can correct me if I'm wrong on this one though...
Television timeouts are taken at the first stoppage of play after 6, 10, and 14 minutes of elapsed time unless there is a power play or the first stoppage is the result of a goal scored. In these cases, the timeout will occur at the first stoppage after the penalty expires or the next stoppage after the goal, respectively. A new rule was introduced for the 2007–08 season that if the first stoppage of play is an icing, the TV timeout does not occur. This is to prevent players from getting a break despite not being allowed to change.

Totally agree with this post.
And a big screw you to NBCSN for being absolutely god awful. I was actually nostalgic for Doc and Pierre.
Ah well, not like Boston will go deep this year. Yay draft pick?
lol why would you say that? our team is flying now, back to our form of late november and december when we went 22-2. thomas playing amazing and all lines scoring.
this game would have been over in the 1st if it wasnt for Roli playing great and stamkos a god.
what was the final shots 30 something to 11?? faceoffs 39-17??

Because the Pens and Rangers are much better. I really wouldn't take good stats against this years Lightning as an indication of Boston being playoff contenders.

I take the Rangers, Pens, and Flyers over the Bruins in a 7 game series. Just opinion. The Bruins aren't as dominant as some have made them out to be. Aside from the amazing stretch they had there for about a month and a half early in the season, they've been an average team this year.
I think the West takes the Cup this year anyway though. Blues, Preds, and Wings are all scary good.

Because I personally have put a giant POX on them to not go deep.
Only because of my huge hatred for Lucic, Marchand and Horton. In fact anything to do with Boston in general, Red Sox and Patriots included. Celtics left out because I really don't care about basketball anyway
That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

Just don't think you guys will have the gas like you did last year for it.

The pens and rangers have 2 and 3 more wins this whole season than the Bruins.......much better than us????
