NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

After the second period, we weren’t paying any attention to standings. We just had to come out with a good third period.
We don’t expect anyone to give up in this league.
- Brian Boyle

I'm not gonna pay much attention to what [the Penguins] are doing too much. It's in our hands.
- Henrik Lundqvist

Of course. It felt good. Big win. And it always feels good to win in this building.
I've played here with the Rangers twice and we have two wins.
- Marian Gaborik

Will be interesting to see which Jets team the Rangers face today. A dispirited bunch playing like they are getting ready to tee it up on the golf course in a couple of weeks.... or a highly motivated crew relishing a spoiler role. If the energized crowd we have seen at MTS continues on until the end of the season, I suspect we will see the latter.

With Biron in the net and a target on our backs as the 1st place team, this is gonna be a tough, close game.

Tonight and Friday will be the last easy games of the year. Please just take these points.

April is the Bruins, Flyers, Penguins, and Capitals.

I haven't seen the Winnipeg crowd this season though I've heard they are pretty crazy. Let's get a quick start and keep them quiet.

Probably Marty tonight I'd say, hopefully he can handle the Winnipeg crowd.

Going to be intense, WPG basically can't lose if they want any hope of making the playoffs, the Rangers need to come prepared.

playing with Biron in points hungry Winnipeg? tie after 60 minutes is an achievement already.. unless we score 4 or more.

Biron beat them at Winnipeg on 10/24 2-1 in a shootout.

I see no reason he couldn't handle that crowd today.

In fact Biron has given up one goal in 125 minutes of playing time against them this season.

I'm fine with him getting this game, but that's the last game he should get.

Let Lundqvist go the rest of the way and get his body accustomed to playing every other day. Plus we will be playing potential playoff opponents after the Habs game on Friday.

I fail to see how this is going to be an easy game. The 'peg is desperate for points. This will be a very close, hard-fought one.

Biron with the shutout! Rangers win 3-2. Zuccarello, Avery, Eminger with goals and Gaborik with the game winner! Lundqvist with 2 assists!

It wasn't a shootout, it was 2-1 in regulation. We played horribly in that game and Biron saved our bacon. This team is dangerous, they put up 40+ shots on St. Louis earlier this season.

Don't you remember our stinker against the Thrashers last season with our playoff hopes pretty much on the line?

Yeah we get the unfortunate/fortunate distinction of being on national TSN tonight, which means their preferred start time overrides any voice of reason as far as scheduling goes. It's going to be a mad rush for many to make it.

Considering this is in the 'Peg, expect this to be a VERY difficult game. This team is unreal at home.

I was pulling for the Jets to make the playoffs just because of their fans/home support. Too bad they aren't going to make it.

Marty Biron on ice w/Woywitka, Eminger, Erixon this AM in Winnipeg. Ergo, would expect that Lundqvist starts tonite & Biron plays Fri vs MTL

Marty plays on Friday. Hank goes the rest of the way. Home for Boston,@Phiily and Pitts and home for the Caps depending upon the standings.

Its the right move starting Hank tonight.

Jets are tough at home, 0-3 against us this year, and probably still think they can push for that #8 spot.. they will come to play tonight.
