I think the last few months show just how important Gionta is to this team

Just a thought: what happened with Gionta? I know he's injured. But the guy doesn't seem to be even close to the locker room. Haven't seen him around for interviews too much. Taking care of his kids and hiw wife? I mean, is he still around the team? Maybe he is, it's just that the cameo shots have been sparse.

Building was 1/4 empty tonight. Nobody's interested in the Habs anymore. I hope Geoff is awake.

Awards:
In reference to Darche stating the Habs should play for pride and not finish in last, in the East.

That's a pretty solid line there.

I know. I'm so p'd. Parade all season straight into drafting Yakupov. If anything they've had the best possible season they could have had. Carlyle addresses media about how they have to get a home win starting tonight. Cue 3-0 beating.

I reiterate, we cannot get another 2 points with these chokers around. Then again, looks like we're the ones choking. Their tank can fly too and it's just gone into stealth mode.

If they had shown more pride to start and throughout the season when games actually meant something they wouldn't be in this mess now.. Too little to late Darche.

What's funny is they won't get him, Boston will. What'S really less funny is that Boston will get him, on top of all the players they already have. Kessel gave them a dynasty, especially since they already had Rask in their ranks.

I'm starting to think White shouldn't fight. His last 3 fights he's looked like the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz. It's funny how he goes nuts trying to get rid of his protective elbow and then falls because he is overpowered. Every. Freakin. Time.

Boston used the picks they acquired to draft Tyler Seguin, Jared Knight and Dougie Hamilton. Toronto still owns their own 2012 first round pick.

And this little gem. Apple price when Leafs were last in the playoffs:

The day Philly eliminated us in the second round - $13.07

$100 invested then would be $4,601.52 today."

Once again, thank God I'm not a Laugh fan.

Pretty stereotypical loss by the Habs. The tying goal wasn't even a scoring opportunity. Price just blew that one. One more lead blown in the 3rd. So many chances missed in OT. One more shoot-out loss. I really don't want to see this again next year.

Leafs goaltending was putrid last night, and it was obvious that team has given up. The Leafs have no leadership core whatsoever. Overall, the Habs are still playing hard, which I like to see much much more then what the Leafs are doing. Guys like Cole, Pacioretty, DD, Subban, in fact most of the team, are playing hard. The team needs more good players tho.

As well:

* Markov made at least 3 strong plays in front of the net.
* Sweet pass by St. Denis on Habs 2nd goal.
* Leblanc has slick hands. Kid is going to be a player.
* Palushaj was noticeable every time he stepped on the ice, which wasn't a lot. I would like to see a Palushaj - Plekanec - Leblanc line. Plaushaj's style of play would fit with them more than Bourque does. Move Bourque to a line with Eller and either Blunden or White.
* Subban had a so-so night.
* Emelin was not good.

I hate loser points. Leafs are so bad right now they may pass us.

It's pretty normal for a player not to be around a team when he's rehabilitating from an injury. Gionta needed surgery for a tear to his bicep I believe. He was expected to miss the rest of the season.

Probably because he's fighting guys who are like 4-5 inches bigger than him or guys who are heavyweights like Chris Neil. Over half of his fights are because he's sticking up for teammates, but I guess he should let people run Price over and do nothing because he looks like the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz.

When your watching "Dancing with the Stars" on TV instead of the hockey game, you know this team is dam pathetic . I couldn't watch more then 10 minutes, it was horrible. This team is a lot more then a player or 2 or 3 away from being respectable

That's what they said about Ottawa last year. Just saying.

Yes. Dare to dream that we can go back to competing for 8th place again next season.

More like dare to dream our team can succeed again. Maybe I should mention another example: that's what they said about Philly a couple years ago when they finished horribly. Look where they are now.

...not eighth, which is your brilliant argument.
