Habs announce the official tank

Habs officially announce on twitter today they will spend the last 6 games evaluating the youth and prepare for the future.

http://t.co/H3ZPOTm3

Sound to me like a good excuse to sit out regulars or shorten their ice time.

They aren't truly "tanking" if Price is still starting the games.

Geoffrion is looking good in the press box and Palushaj should continue to get lots of scoring opportunities playing with Staubitz.

Nothing to see here other than people interpreting things to suit their own agenda.

They're going to call up Robert Mayer

They're not doing that good of a job evaluating the kids, and it should have started long ago.

Yeah you're right the Habs have done a great job evaluating the young talent.

- Scratching Geoffrion for 7 straight games
- Playing Palushaj with scrubs on the 4th line
- Bouncing Leblanc back and forth between the minors and giving him limited minutes
- Playing retards like Gomez and Darche on the powerplay over young guys like Eller
- Giving Campoli powerplay minutes over Emelin

No need to try and be a hero and make idiotic comments, Kriss E was right the team has done a horrible job evaluating the young guys and it shouldn't of started with 6 games left.

This has been the biggest problem in Montreal for years, Gainey and Gauthier and company need to GTFO

If we want to tank we have to stop playing Price. And that's not going to happen, nor should it.

Palushaj has nothing to do near an NHL team. Loan him to the Finnish tier 2 league asap.

Fantastic news! Glad to see management is letting the players know that winning is not an acceptable option!

Evaluating talent = tanking?

Awesome.

Can't wait for next year, so we can watch the pre-season-tank

Not only that, I even go further by not playing them too much on PP. Play Leblanc, Eller instead. On PP, try a forward at blue line.

If Cole or Plekanec agree, we could even sit them for few games.

My D will be: Emelin, Weber, St-Denis and Markov. The remaining two spots will be rotated between Subban, Gorges, Kaberle and Campoli.

Weird. I watched the whole game and Palushaj has played a good game from my pov. Sure playing with Staubitz and Noke isn't helping him, but he is the best player of those 3. Noke is just a terrible center for any wingers, I'd even put Staubitz ahead of him on the depth chart just because he is a tough agitator, Noke is bad all around. Palushaj has soem wheels and with a good playmaker could light it up.

Plekanec is a young enough man... I wonder how he'd do in the shootout..?

He'd find a way to make a pass on a defender's tape.
