JETS STH here.

We're pretty much resided to the fact that we are out of the play off race. I don't expect we'll get our arses kicked tonight as teams know coming to MTSC isn't easy.

Gotta ask though.

Last year you guys just squeaked into the play offs and this year the Rangers are dominate despite having the 2nd worst PP % in the league. What do you account for the turnaround between last year and this year?

Good luck tonight and good luck in the play offs!!! Maybe one day we'll be there as well

A few major things:

The young players from last year have stepped up again (Stepan, MDZ, McDonagh)

They replaced Drury with Richards which was a HUGE improvement on the ice.

They have been able to get real solid contributions from young rookies like Hagelin, Mitchell(Not a rookie but he is a Ranger rookie), Bickel.

They were able to sign Stralman for nothing and get a good 30~40 games of top-4 play out of him.

The core got 1 year older (Callahan, Hank, Girardi, Dubinsky, Boyle, Prust, Anisimov)

Then hate the people of Atlanta for not going to games, and hate True North for buying them.

If we get 2 points tonight, that's a 5 point lead on the division. I'll sleep a little easier at night if we win haha

Lets go RANGERS!

i think the addition of Richards to the team is a huge reason we're a better team. he injected confidence into some of the youth and it's been great so far.

if i continue, though, i'll be repeating Boyler87

big game in a mighty loud building. lets do it, boys! LGR!!

Just stay healthy and watch out for Burmistrov. Excellent bodychecker. Hits hard and clean. Don't need any seperated shoulders or concussions.

I'll take a point here.

I was at that practice this morning. Was so disappointed that only the four of them showed up, but at least I got to meet Sam and Joe! Hoping to meet the team at the hotel just before they head to the arena.

4 out of 7 losses this month were by 3 goals.
6 out of 8 wins this month were by on goal.
So I'll go out on a limb here and say the Rangers win by one.

But if they happen to do the other thing it'll be by three.

2 points please.

when the Thrashers won, they had plenty of fans come to the games, problem was the owners never spent enough money for them to win.

Marty Biron on ice w/Woywitka, Eminger, Erixon this AM in Winnipeg. Ergo, would expect that Lundqvist starts tonite & Biron plays Fri vs MTL

Or he's perfectly justified in hating some of the smug fans who i've seen talk **** about how hockey doesn't belong in certain places.

I like some Jets fans, but a lot of interactions i've had with that new fan base leads me to believe a lot of them are very, very smug.

I hear very little of this actually. Most Jets fans I know actually understand that it was the incredibly crappy ownership group that ruined the Thrashers. We also know that one of the big reasons for the Phoenix franchise having problems is that they put the arena in a horrible location. True, there are definitely idiots in our fan-base, but can't the same be said for all teams?

I blame the idiot who kept Don Wadell in as GM for all those years or DW himself.

Remeber, us getting 6 points the remainder of the season makes Pittsburgh have to go 5-1 the rest of the way to catch us. Win the next 2 games and the last 4 are to make sure the team is playing well going into the playoffs and to possibly get some rest to players that need it.

2 points tonight. LGR!
