If I am not a stud, I am pickin the latter. Breaking into the NHL is very difficult, cracking Philly/Boston's roster is even harder. Many will take the better opportunity.
It all depends on who you are.
You could go to the Leafs/Habs for the money and spotlight but if you fail your stuck with the hellish media and fans that torment you, if you are 2nd/3rd liner on a deep team that wins, maybe life is a little easier for development and peace of mind.
not surprising at all considering the glut of young talent at forward in both Boston and Philly. I remember last month when the Bolts dealt Carter Ashton and looking at their forwards and thinking they are paper thin.
