Not that hard to understand.

And Anisimov is 23 this season. He is still growing as a player. Whether or not you want to believe that is fine. But i'll take the homegrown, excellent defensive center over Foligno, who has been a strong part of our secondary scoring this year.

He's relied on for things other than scoring. And yes, many of us fans still fully expect him to produce more in the coming seasons. Not unrealistic for a guy who's 23 and still nowhere near his prime.
Chemistry is for the playoffs; at the start of a new season GMs will try to improve on what has been lacking in the playoffs.

We should bump this thread in 2 months to check the value of both players Foligno and Anisimov , that could be interesting.

Agreed, and even then, we may end up trying to put a package like Anisimov, Dubinsky, and others for Nash

Good point, yes it doesn't have to be for Foligno.

I didn't propose the trade, but the value isn't terrible, certainly not laughable from either teams pov. & contending teams upgrade 3rd liners (adding toughness) all the time.

If I was Ottawa I would want more than Anisimov for Foligno. Foligno has got some serious jam (120ish pm's), hits, fights, plays well defensively, works like a dog & is outscoring Anisimov with less ice time. He is definitly a Torts type player.
