Hearing Mike Milbury talk as if he has any idea how to construct a team is riotously funny.

He also said he knew how tough it was. Nothing he said was off base, it was all spot on.

The Jackets have just been described as "crappy". The game prediction from the NBC crew.........."lousy"................

Great national exposure.........

Jeez JPM...........wake the hell up. You & your team (investment) are a laughingstock.

Yeah, he didn't have much success, and he's a blowhard, but all he said was spot on IMO.

Keith Jones says not even Scotty Bowman or Al Arbour could win with the CBJ roster (paraphrase)

Yet Milbury's Islanders made the playoffs 3 times in his 10 seasons as GM. Better than our current guy's pace.

Milbury as a GM was like a self-made wealthy man who is given a $100 bill and told not to do anything stupid with it.

The next time you see him, he's living in a cardboard box and yelling at stray cats.

Tru dat....

McConnell must be out of his mind if he continues to refuse to replace Priest and Howson.. Are there any Generals in the ownership group that can over throw him? Yeah, a coup d'état is in order.

It took Milbury 7 years to get the Islanders to a playoff spot, and by then he'd already pissed away almost all of the young talent that had been accumulated.

That team should have been a dynasty that would still be going strong; I don't see 3 first-round exits as any sort of triumph compared to what should have been.

I don't see 1 first round exit after 5 years on the brink of a multi-year rebuild as a vast improvement on Milbury's record.

Mike's quite capable of commenting on Mr. Howson under the principal of "it takes one to know one."

I'd guess Detroit and Columbus will have around 98% of the national TV market share for tonights game...

You got what you wanted. If they had finished ANY higher these past two months I swear some posters would have formed a protest. Protest is all the rage ya' know.

It is this same bunch of posters who will be croaking and moaning through the 3-5 year "rebuild" they lobbied so hard to get. Be careful what you wish for. You think we are bad now? Wait...

My evidently naive and optimistic fan nature maintains a hope for a win EVERY time they hit the ice. It is not my nature to encourage a "fail".

My ticket buying loyal seat-sitting self hopes and prays that Nash somehow stays so I can still see him play at Nationwide. If not, I wholeheartedly thank our Captain for his service to this franchise and the pleasure of watching his level of skill represent our city.

I love my team. I love hockey. I'll be there AGAIN, cheering for the CBJ.

(gearing up for attack from the anti-butterfly and puppy crowd...)
Well said, Mr
Derby. I agree.
