Probably never.

But McKenzie is probably the most accurate when it comes to predicting draft ranks imho.

Its a good sign of the skeleton of the draft, but not exactly how it is going to go.

McKenzie just said a lot of scouts would take MacKinnon over Yakupov. Really think from what I've seen MacKinnon is the best player to come threw a draft since Stamkos.

So hypothetical question. Would you guys be willing to deal with another lock-out season without Leafs hockey if we were guaranteed a 50% chance at getting first overall next year?

He is a special talent for sure, we would damn lucky to get him but man i wouldn't want hockey to be gone at all.

Okay, at the end of the lock-out, what would the new CBA look like?

Soft cap?

He's a scout's dream in the way he prepares himself and plays an unselfish game, making smart decisions with the puck. With his bloodlines, he certainly understands what it will take to make it at the next level.

As opposed to playing next year and finishing last?

It doesn't matter if he plays wing of center, however it would be nice to groom him as a center. We can stick a decent center between Kessel and Gally too.

The problem with the Leafs is that...the elite offensive talent starts and ends with Kessel. The 2nd-4th lines have been wildly inconsistent and the entire load of the offense was on Lupul and Kessel. When they were ridiculously consistent we won a lot of games, as their scoring dried up we sucked...

We need elite talent, whether it be offense or defense.

Hard cap, I can't see the NHL moving to a soft cap like the NBA as the small market teams would be at a bigger disadvantage than they are now. Maybe a soft cap could be used in the NHL if all the teams were spending to the cap, but some teams are struggling to reach the floor.

Nathan MacKinnon is the next Super Star!!! Yakupov is a great player BUT MacKinnon is by far the better prospect imo.

Whoever gets him has a franchise player for a decade.
