Staal had a great game. Good to see him rounding back into form.

Before or after he saves a kitten from a burning building and prevents a nuclear crisis?

I hear he's hosting peace talks between Palestine and Israel as we speak.

There are no "talks". He just says "cut that **** out" and it's over.

Great win.

My three stars were:
3. Lundqvist - I don't care what anyone says. He had a great game, and he was the best PKer on the 5-on-3.
2. Gaborik - He was just everywhere tonight.
1. Callahan - He had a straight up excellent game all around.

**** Winnipig.

Nice game.

I would love to have been a fly on the wall at the meeting where Callahan was chosen to be Captain.
Unbelievable aptitude in choosing Ryan. He is a leader.

Cally
Boyle
Lundqvist

Lundqvist played well. Questionable goals, but he made some big saves. Also, the PK tonight as whole should get a POTG. HUGE efforts tonight. And Staal with a good bounce back game.

with that win, the pens can no longer catch us in ROWs so we are guaranteed to win the tie-breaker if it came down to that.

A glorious day for New York.

POTG: Cally/Boyle
The Good: MDZ, Boyle, Cally, Hank, Gabby, the comeback, the PK and PP
The Bad: The penalties

Can someone explain how they looked so terrible on the PK against the friggin Minnesota Wild, but looked so good against the #1 home PP in the NHL?

See ya, Winni.

1.Cally - somehow, a minus 1 tonight. Completely turned the game around.
2.Boyle - I'm usually critical of him, but he way laying some big hits, and got GWG. Good to see him using that big body of his.
3. Hank - say what you will. Best PK'ers on the ice were him and Cally.

Gutsy win tonight. Pittsburgh can suck it.

We definitely need to find a way to gain offensive zone pressure consistently to allow our 3rd and 4th line to operate. The two lines grind and grind and the difference between grinding and scoring goals for those guys is so slight I feel. One extra play, a bit more space and time given to our 3rd and 4th line can really change the game like tonight. How to gain that offensive zone time (and not just board battles down low) is beyond me though.

Yeah, but at the same time I loved to see him try and get Duby a goal.

Hope/expect Cally to get 30. And I think Stepan has 17, hoping he can get to 20 and Gaborik to 40.
