Pierre Gauthier & Bob Gainey Fired - Savard brought back in advisory role

In the words of Darren Dreger on Twitter "Buckle up. Montreal Canadiens will announce Pierre Gauthier is being let go...very shortly. No replacement will be named."

Geoff Molson is expected to make Gauthier announcement. No reason to wait as Habs officially elminated over the weekend.

Gauthier fired, a possible top 3 pick.
Everyone wins.

This shouldn't even be news.

I can't wait to vomit on the next GM after he fails to completely reshape the team within 15 minutes of his nomiation. /fans+media_mode

Awards:
Expect the expected.

About time. Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Goat. Habs 4 Life must be swimming in a pool of his own tears of joy right now.

Finally!!!

No replacement will be named.. Because..

They need to wait for the Quebec Ramparts season to finish and then of course bring in none other than Patrick Roy!

Hartley will be the new coach too you wait and see

Leafs fan coming in peace. Good for the Habs. Gauthier was awful. We had a good laugh at the moves he made.(just like I'm sure you did too at the moves Fletcher/Burke made)

Hopefully this makes your players play harder for the GM so the Leafs can get a higher pick

I refuse to celebrate until I know who the replacement is. I celebrated with Martin going and look what happened. except GM is a much more crucial position.
