That is incredible frustrating for non-season ticket holders. I'm resigned to the fact that I'm going to have to go into the secondary market to get a pair of tickets for myself and my dad. It is what it is.

unfortunately, the cheapest ticket right now is $145 a piece (on stubhub). Not worth it for round 1, IMO.

They hold back tickets for the general on sale. You'll have a shot at something then for sure though you will have to be quick since I'm sure tons of others will be looking as well.
I signed in at exactly 10 and got 4 tickets in section 327 for Game 2. $496 for 4 tickets. I figured I would have a shot at only 1 game so I selected game 2 and probably got lucky
looks like all the bots from those retarded ticket brokers got all the tickets, right at 1001, nothing in 400s or 300s
Not necessarily. There likely wasn't a lot if anything available in the 300s and 400s. They did this to try to sell the better seats. They know that everyone knows the tickets go fast during these sales and most people just take the first thing that comes up as you dont have time to be choosie about seats.
looks like you just weren't quick enough as other people got tickets. and i can assure you, those ticket brokers do not have bots. watch your choice of words
of course they have bots
That being said, ticketmaster is releasing seats in drips and drabs. Just got a single for Round 2 Game 1 in the 300s
You just have to keep trying. Sometimes people have tickets and then time-out thus putting the tickets back into the pool, or the credit card gets rejected.
As for the brokers, they don't have any programs to get them through faster, but will have 10 people using 3-4 laptops each trying to get through.
There is also a good chance the Garden is holding back 300s and 400s if they are still offering people play-off packages with a deposit on seats for next year.
i work for one. we dont have bots. we have a lot of people in our office all looking for tickets when they go on sale, but we do not have bots.
That's fine and actually very ethical on your part and many other brokers, but I know for a fact that there are plenty who do use programs to automatically fill out the ticketmaster forms and have a list of accounts and credit cards 50 deep to circumvent ticket limits

Why would you even acknowledge the fact that your a broker. Your like announcing, hey I am the reason you guys never get tickets. Your kind deserves no respect, and I don't care if you tell me it's just business. It's not fair cause these are real fans who work hard to get these tickets. While you sit in your cubicle stealing happiness from others. You and all the other brokers can... catch my drift.

They said they were all sold out... put a deposit down and got screwed..

That is not going to get them into the queue any faster, which is the hardest part. That can help them land multiple orders, but they still need to get into the queue first.

I never understood this notion of fans, "deserving" the tickets. So, the broker buys just to sell, that is how they choose to earn a living. You can try doing the same.
I think they really are sold out. My rep called me on Tuesday night, called back Wednesday morning and she said she would put me on a list since there was nothing at the moment.
I can remember about 4 years ago, I got strips and strips of playoff tix offered to me by my Rep for center ice 400s from STHs who did not choose to buy their playoff options (they thought the prices were too high).
How times have changed..guess everyone is expecting a deep run

Same here, I was able to get 4 strips of center blues. Of course then the Rangers ended up not even making the playoffs. As soon as the team is on top, everyone jumps on the bandwagon and tickets are impossible to get

This is such a stupid statement. Basically your saying that for someone to get tickets to a game they should become a broker. No one said they deserved tickets, but it's unfair that people have to deal with brokers and bots to even get tickets. Can't wait till all of this paperless and all the brokers will be out of business. The time will come and it is well deserved.

Sorry to inform you that paperless-only tickets are illegal in New York State. Consumers are granted the right by law to have the right & ability to resell their tickets to whoever they want without restriction, which includes brokers. I agree that there should be better ways to get tickets in the hands of fans instead of brokers, but generally the teams don't care enough to jump through those hoops and only care about selling all their tickets. If too many brokers get tickets and make a lot of money, instead of addressing the problem these teams will prefer to just raise prices so the brokers have no money in it any more and the fans still get screwed

right because at the same time earlier in the season when we sold our tickets we paid 200 each for for 75 dollars a piece, where were all the people screaming for our heads then? do you complain when you can get yankees or mets tickets for pennies on the dollar from stubhub? guess who owns those tickets.. its give and take and the market goes both ways.
