Also it'll be nice for the young guys to get some words of wisdom by another all star veteran player.

Maybe Clarke will feel up to making a comeback. How about Forsberg / Clarke / Lindros as the Awkward Line?

This is totally insane we'd be missing like 17 players and 2 goalies, at least!

Although when they win the Cup, Lindros can right his name on the Cup like this:

ERIC LINDROS

I miss the big E of the mid 90s. He was a force of nature

In all seriousness...

We need to get Forsberg, Lindros, Jagr, Pronger, and Desjardins in one room wearing Flyers' jerseys.

It would complete my NHL Faceoff '98 first unit.

He retired how long ago? What was he doing at practice?

Forsberg-Lindros-Jagr 4th line. I'd be fine with that.

Once they got hurt like 3 games in we could replace them with the Phantoms that would have been there anyway. What an awesome 3 games that would be though.

He lives in Toronto. He probably just felt like shooting around with some of them.

That's not something he normally does. Maybe he is Jagr's biggest friend? I did not know that

Could be.

Honestly, I thought the whole alumni game process and the standing ovation and everything...

You know how before it kind of felt like Lindros sectioned off himself from this organization and the organization acted in kind.

Well now I think we're seeing him as a member of the Flyers' family once again; almost like a prodigal son.

I'm happy that things are working out as they are, and he's a legend in Philadelphia. Let him in on as many skates, as many pressers, as many locker room discussions, etc that he wants in.

He pretty much gave up his young adult life for us. He really wanted to bring a Championship here. We owe him as much commitment.

Gave up he did not. He was paid handsomely and played hard for us when he was not injured.

I have to say that I felt nostalgic when LeClair scored off Lindros pass during Winter Classic.

I'll never forget his speech when he accepted the 94-95 Hart trophy. He was almost in tears thanking the fans of Philadelphia for their support and promising that the team was going to get better and compete for the cup.

People can say whatever they want about his career but I agree 100% that he cared and probably regrets not being able to win a cup here.

Alright, I'll say it...

Several posters have spoken jokingly about Eric signing for one more shot at glory, but I'll be honest, there's a tiny little part of me that remembers the old Eric and wishes if even for a game that they'd let him play once more in a real game. Yes, I recognize it's fantasy land (or is it? ) but man would it bring back so many good memories. Talk about an emotional lift for the playoffs.

They should have Lindros give the team a locker room speech before the first game of the playoffs.

He's pulling a Theo Fleury.
Back room handshake and agreement
Generate a great amount of buzz about a comeback but fall short (backroom agreement)

Release book = generated more sales.

Imagine Pronger and Lindros in front of the net on the PP.

Honestly though, I'd love some publicity stunt where Lindros plays a preseason game for ***** and giggles. The fans would eat that up.
