Yup. This is pretty common with rookies coming right out of college. Hopefully a little rest will get him going again.

Do you guys think they will cycle in Ani or Dubi for left wing duties on that line? I've been noticing Gabs sometimes plays the left wing and Cally has been throw in on the right wing for certain shifts.

I was clicking back and forth between the game and writing an essay so I didn't the whole game but from what I saw Callahan was amazing. I love this guy and really hope he does get a consideration for the Selke. Brian Boyle was great too, to bad a player can't get the broadway hat twice in a row because he deserved it this game. Staal had a great game to compared to the train wreck he was the previous game.

Our board was hoping we'd chant "We love Brooksie!! clap, clap, clap clap clap"

Sounded deathly quiet last night, our fans are just enjoying the last few games and looking forward to next season! Please give us some entertaining playoff games.

Hank had a solid game last night, he didn't give a bad performance. But he can still make a misplay and make a mistake. He is human. Some of the guys on this board are way too extreme on their opinions of Hank, they either think he sucks when he gives up a goal, or they believe he is goaltending God who can do no wrong. Its really annoying.
I never said he was immortal or hasn't let in any bad/soft goals...so please don't put words in my posts, but to say that the goalie doesn't need to play the pass across because the dmen is there is ludicrous.

Heros? I am sure heros do not throw cheap jokes at people from their room at their parents house.
Relax. Poking fun at EC for looking awkward in a picture.

Don't like the joke? Cool story. Parent's house? Yeah, wrong.

And for the record, the plural of Hero is Heroes. Heros was a greek Demigod.

The goalie doesn't worry about the cross crease when Both D men are back on the rush. At worst he may be worrying about the trailer coming in the zone if the center is not back checking. In that scenario, its the D man's responsibility to prevent the cross crease, not the goaltenders. Watch the goal again, what the hell is the Jet on the right side going to do? He isn't a threat at all.

The only time a cross crease pass becomes an issue on the transition is an odd man rush.

Its a moot point either way, because Hank wasn't worried about the cross crease from his positioning on the play.

As goalie you have to have confidence in your Dmen taking away lanes and angles. Otherwise your going to be overplaying the crease.

If you don't believe a goalie is constantly assessing where he is Dmen are relative to the puck...I don't know what to tell you.

He's probably feeling the rigors of an 82 game schedule. Let him rest a bit... we'll need his top-speed in the post season.
