Your Perfect Offseason?

Pretty self-explanatory title. What would your perfect offseason look like?

Personally, I would:

Trade Dubi for prospects/picks.
Sign Parise for an AAV of 7M
Sign Jagr for a 1 year 3M deal
Sign Schultz for max ELC allowed
Sign Kreider
Resign Biron, Prust, DZ

Roll with:

Hagelin-Richards-Gaborik
Parise-Stepan-Callahan
Kreider-Anisimov-Jagr
Rupp-Boyle-Prust

McDonagh-Girardi
Staal-Del Zotto or Del Zotto-Staal
Erixon-Sauer (if healthy) or Schultz

Lundqvist
Biron

Run a PP of some combination between Richards, Jagr, Gaborik, Cally, and DZ.

I'd go to war with this team.

Thoughts?

Thoughts?
Parise / Nash / Ryan / Iginla....Four snipers who can/may be had for various reasons. Parise is best option from standpoint of managing assets, but if he goes elsewhere I think we need to get one of them here.....I was luke warm on Jagr and still am. He is an upgrade, but I just cant see he and Torts meshing well? I am not "against" it, but not sure it will be major help either.
Agree on Prust, Biron, MDZ
I would not trade Dubinsky now. No sense trading him off of a bad year.

It's kind of hard to answer these questions before seeing what happens in the playoffs.

Yeah, I wouldn't trade Dubinsky. He looks like he just found his game.

And does anyone have an idea where McIlrath will be? Hopefully he can make the team, but I'm not sure what the plans are with him.

Sign Parise, Have Kreider and either Thomas, Yogan or Miller be good enough to make our top 9, have Sauer healthy and have a 4th line of Boyle, Prust, XXX

Hagelin Richards Gaborik
Parise Step Callahan
Kreider Anisimov Dubinsky
Prust Boyle Rupp

McD Girardi
Staal Sauer
MDZ Erixon

Let's go to war!

There are no more dynasties in the NHL. What do you expect to get back for the two that would make up for them?

The perfect offseason would have every player on the NYR roster getting a day with the Stanley Cup...

Yeah, because there's an unlimited number of great players available as free agents every year. And I'm sure those free agents would love to sign with us just so we can trade them away for future assets.

Teams that are in 1st place in the league with 10 days left in the season don't trade their best players for future assets.

My perfect off season would involve lots of women, and lots of salt water fishing.

Oh wait hockey? A big parade involving the Rangers, and fleecing CBJ for Nash!

1) We are talking about the offseason
2) We are talking about "the perfect offseason".

Let me hear your plan to achieve transformative excellence.

I think the OP meant "perfect offseason" as in best possible moves to make in THIS offseason.

You just give hypothetical trades for variables. At least be more specific instead of "trade for picks" or "sign players".

You know the team is in first place right? Why would we need to completely transform the team?

The only move I really want the team to make is to sign Parise. Hopefully there's a way to fit him under the cap given the new CBA without dealing Dubinsky. Even if there isn't, let a man dream for once!

Parise-Richards-Gaborik
Kreider-Stepan-Callahan
Dubinsky-Anisimov-Hagelin
Rupp/Fed-Boyle-Prust

McD-Girardi
Staal-Del Zotto
Erixon-Sauer

Transformative excellence? Have you looked at the standings this year? Your "perfect" off season is trading away two of our key players for "assets". Now what assets are you looking to bring in? Hey great idea lets take a 1st place team and blow it all up, I think you forgot that we have our own assets and in our own system that are coming up and clearly contributing right now with Richards and gaborik, Richards and Gaborik are two and three this month in points produced, unfortunately it took this long to put them together but if you add kreider and potentially a player like parise, Nash or Ryan, this team becomes that much deeper and better. Last time I checked you don't subtract from a contending team but add on pieces that complete the puzzle, and richards and gaborik are clearly fitting in on this team. But hey why not blow it up

Yeah, hes "found it" hopefully he gets hot for the playoffs, but either way he will lose it again.

We know what Dubi is at this point. He is a very inconsistant, streaky player. I mean, hes what.. 26 now? 3 seasons (now 4) all below 44 points, and one decent 50 point season.

Hopefully we can deal him while he still has value. I mean, I don't dislike him by any means, but he is by far the first asset from the pro roster I would trade, and I would def. look to do it this offseason.

We don't get 60 wins this year, BLOW IT UP!

That's the most illogical thing I've ever heard. Why in the world would we deal our 2 top players to go through a rebuild and only sign more free agents when we're at the top of the league now!??!?!
