Does anyone have any good Ryan Murray videos? I'd really like to get an idea of what his skating/passing/shot look like and searching his name on youtube brings up a bunch of football/other videos.
The video posted earlier in this thread also says its "private".

WHL team websites are all fully equipped with highlights of each and every game. Go ahead and go there and watch for #27.
I can't decide if I want a puck rusher or a puck mover to play with Hall, Eberle and Nuge. I'm leaning towards a puck mover, makes Murray sound enticing, but Dumba's slapshot, the fact he shoots right, his hands, and his physicality really draw him to me.
That the thing that appeals to me as an Oilers follower. He could play pitch and catch with RNH on the powerplay, much like they did in Red Deer. He would make an already solid powerplay even that much more dangerous.
Not sure how I'm posting something positive about Dumba in a Murray thread.....
Everything I've heard about this kid in the last 3 years makes me respect him and want him for the Oilers. Skillset is beautiful, but the attitude and professionalism makes me think of when people talk about Toews.
I really, really hope he's pulling the Oildrop over his head on draft day. Luckily he fits the Stu McGregor profile perfectly.
Everett got eliminated to tonight from the playoffs in OT. Ryan Murray had 1 Goal 1 Assist and was even. Was voted 1st star.
In total 4GP 3G 2A -1(he was voted 3rd star while finishing -3) guy seems like an absolute stud on a horrible team. I really hope the oil grab him.
He was 0 +/- on the night tonight. -2 in the series. He had 1/2 the goals and points on 5 of the 6 goals the team scored in the series. Donno if there was much more else he could have done.

Yep his team got outscored 17-6 and he was involved in 5/6 goals. Guy was a stud, played 40+ minutes last night in the OTL.

After those playoffs I am far less concerned about his offensive upside. He won't be a pure offensive guy, but he looks like a smoother skating Pietrangelo right now.
I'd put him in the same category as Adam Larsson as far as potential.
I'd love to see the Wild pick this guy up. I'm inclined to say if the Wild up with the #2 they would pick Galchenyuk, but it seems like the top could go any which way as far as the Top 5 goes. Seems to be differing opinions everywhere.

The big question to me is whether Montreal takes him if they get the #2 overall pick, or if they grab either Grigorenko or Galchenyuk.
I think they take him if they can't get Grigorenko or Yakupov. An NHL-ready defenseman would probably be their third choice behind those two guys. If they don't get Murray, my guess is they go forward for Galchenyuk (or maybe even Forsberg)
Its interesting that Murray ranked 3rd for hardest shot in that WHL coaches/players poll, yet Dumba didn't even make the list when all we hear about is how much of a bomb Dumba has.
Also, I know stats don't tell the whole story but its tough not to think Murray was controlling the game when you look at the stats from the series.

Personally feel the Wild need an offensive D man assuming the forwards are gone considering who they have on prospects and on the team. Like Dumba.

I haven't heard that too much.
Power isn't why his shot is so amazing. It's his release and accuracy more than the strength/speed of it.

As a Wild fan I think Murray would fit in much better with our team identity than Dumba. Smart, smooth skating and positionally sound player that makes the right decision and uses his forwards well is exactly how our D is being built and I love that for when our young skilled forwards hit the league. Put him on a line with Scandella and I see our possession time jumping tremendously, something we have lacked since entering the league.
