Carter Day to Day - Ankle

http://lakingsinsider.com/2012/03/29...ice-no-carter/

Apparently he suffered the injury last night. Believed to be a lower-body injury. Anyone see anything?

Practice line up:
Richardson-Kopitar-Brown
King/Nolan-Richards-Williams
Penner-Stoll-Lewis
Clifford-Fraser-Westgarth

Hope JW gets MR going.

Happy to see Richardson may get a chance, although it sucks that it's because Carter is hurt. I was hoping one of these days Sutter would get fed up with the worst player on the team and maybe scratch him in favor of Richie.

Richie was thrown back in the lineup a few games ago, I think it was against the Wings.

Man, he looked horrible. Probably the worst I've ever seen him play besides the game against Colorado (We lost 4-1) where he was a -3 and only like 10 minutes of TOI.

I really like his game but he's been outplayed this season. What a step back for him.

He's really got to dust himself off if he's going to be in the lineup down the stretch.

Having two lines with scoring on them is critical, nice to see this coach realize that and push JW down to line 2.

As for Richie in, well, he can't play worse than the last few games he played.

Sadly it's just not going to happen, they value Stoll's 55% draws too much.

They have no one in the Minors, or the NHL roster that can replace that.

Possession off the draw is important to the Kings. Sadly Stoll provides that at an above average clip.

Considering how well the top line played, I don't like the idea of breaking them up. I'd rather see one of Nolan, Richardson, or Lewis given a chance at the 2nd line RW spot.

Williams is a producer, you have to get two scoring lines. Or at least make it look like you do. The Kings already proved, they can't win games with one scoring line.

Teams will just key on Kopi's line, Lets hope JW can get Richards going.

This is just awful news.

Quick better be on his game tomorrow, because a Carter-less Kings roster will need a shutout to win.

That must mean he had no effect on the game. Man, analyzing hockey is easy!

If he misses any time, hopefully it's only one game. Such crappy news though.

Lombardi said carter is dealing with a ankle injury, and is unlikely against minny as well

We only had two good lines: Brown-Kopitar-Williams and Clifford-Fraser-Nolan.

The King-Richards-Carter line was playing poorly anyways.

Isn't this about the time we lost Kopi to an ankle injury last season? I wasn't paying as close attention last year, I have to admit...

Richardson has probably had 2 decent games this year.....most of the rest being horrid. I'm sorry, but he is not an NHL player in my eyes. The only thing that has kept him here is his speed; if he's not using his speed, he's incredibly ineffective.

It sucks, but glad its 'questionable' not 'out' or 'IR'.

Sounds like a nagging injury that is was stressed due to the recent heavy schedule. He didn't miss any shifts last night and played until there was 2 min. left in the game. If it was a bad injury, it would have hobbled him and he wouldn't have been out there when the outcome of the game was already beyond doubt. I didn't notice anything on that last shift of his.

Personally, I think playing in Minnesota will depend on what happens in the EDM game. If the Kings win, it helps solidify a spot - especially if PHX loses. That would put us 3 points up on them.

By the way it's being talked about, it sounds like something he could play through if it was a playoff game.
