We need a puck-mover...like Carle...as much as it pains me to say.
Nah... Schenn is on a different level mean. Both Coburn and Meszaros can move the puck. Carle just turns the puck over.

By the way Schenn can move the puck well.

Not what we need.

Timonen gets old, Carle walks...

We have Gustafsson as our true puck-mover on the back-end. Plus Kessel in the system.

Most top 4 NHL defensemen can move the puck. Few have the offensive instincts to force the issue.

In your opinion is not what we need. **** Gustafsson. Same goes for Carle.

If Leafs were selling low on L. Schenn, he'd be worth looking into, especially if Pronger was definitely out next season.

You realize what happened to the Caps offense right?

Most of the offense was based on Mike Green, not Ovechkin. Ovechkin and Semin and Backstrom and all the rest of them just scored the goals. It was Mike Green that made that offense a well-oiled machine. He gets hurt and look what happens.

I'm scared of the day we don't have a back-end with someone who can force the issue. It makes things much harder on our forwards, and the entire Laviolette system, which is predicated on forechecking pressure and puck possession much like the Detroit model, goes right down the drain.

Seriously...

Why don't we all start blaming Rinaldo for not being Lindros?

It's stupid.

Kimmo wasn't exactly an offensive force when he entered the league as 23 year old either. It took him 4-5 seasons to get to .5PPG.

Gus isn't as good as a puck mover as people think around here. Can he pass? Sure. But he doesn't have much poise when the puck is on his stick. If we are hoping Gus will take the reigns as a top 4 d-man then we are in serious trouble.

What does Green have to do with Luke Schenn? What happened to Caps is that they have no depth. ZERO! Backstrom went down and no one can replace him.

Green missed 30 -35 games last season Caps finished with 107 pts. Green had 25pts or something. Chris, I know you think you know stuff but stick with overrating Flyers prospects.

Pretty good period ! Nice to see Briere with 2 assist, he is starting to get things going in the right direction.Like to see Shenn get himself a hatty in Toronto with his family there etc.Nice move on the Toronto goal,D got split pretty bad and BOB paid the price.

Gustavsson is the reserve netminder since he's still in full garb.

I think Gus has shown some nice potential this year.

I dont see why Gus is being blamed for that goal.... He pinched and two forwards were back and let Grabo just go right by them. Talbot and Couts just missed their assignment, but were in position to make a play.

The outlet pass will be brutal without Kimmo, Jagr, and Pronger.

It sets up so much offense. The Flyers need a guy like Gus / Kessel to be that guy.
