I hope Giroux didn't injured. He just played few shifts in third period.

He didn't need to. Flyers flat out owned and didn't need to overwork the bigger players.

It's not the Leafs' home feed so they aren't homers. They're the TSN guys, a national feed. They are my absolute favourites.

I know it was 7-1 at the end, but when Lavy put out the rookie lineup and the Leafs couldnt touch the puck it was hilarious. Gustaffson-Bourdon, Wellwood-Schenn-Read. Kept the puck the whole time lol.

The Leafs barely put up a fight... before everyone starts getting ahead of themselves, this team still has a LONG way to go before they can even think about beating the Pens in round 1.

I only saw bits of the first period and came home to some gems on my twitter feed by various people:

Quote:
Fans chanting, "Let's Go Blue Jays!!!"
Quote:
In the end behind the #Flyers goal, a #Leafs fan is sitting beside a #Habs fan + they're both wearing a paper bags on their heads.
Quote:
It would be kind of nice to see the words "Schenn vs. Phaneuf" without the words "most overpaid defenceman" attached.
Quote:
At this rate, Ron Wilson may win the Jack Adams.
Quote:
Did Gustavsson really get hit in the knee in warmup or did he come down with the Philly flu? #Flyers up 7-1.
Quote:
I think I’ll get drunk and rewatch the Brian Burke season ticket renewal video.
Quote:
A fan just threw a Leafs jersey on the ice during stoppage in play. What's next, waffles?
Quote:
Leafs will fall to 5-17-3 in their last 25 games... which would be a 43-point pace over a full season.

Nice to score some goals. That wasn't much of a test though, the Leafs were terrible. Read had a good game, as did Talbot. Carle was pretty solid as well. Good for Bobrovsky to get a win in his first game after a long time on the bench.

Absolutely ! But i rarely hear his name mentioned of late. I heard Mckenzie on NHL live really talking up Landesgog without ever mentioning Read the other day.....He being 25 years old should have no bearing on it in my opinion.

Washington beats Boston in shootout.

I've watched through the Simmonds goal and Briere's career-best 4th assist. The Leafs were really terrible tonight. We didn't even have Timonen and they barely tested Bob. Still, I loved watching it. Easy wins are less stressful.

The only test tonight was maintaining motivation and intensity. They didn't play down to the Leafs level, though I thought the defense in the first was so-so. There were a couple of near-miss breakaway passes, plus the one that worked, and a few giveaways leading to potential opportunities that the Leafs screwed up.

One little thing I liked -- that is, among most of the Flyers' game tonight -- was how Simmonds didn't even break a smile or lift his stick when he scored. Just snapped the puck into the net, circled behind and went back up ice.

Oh well, time to turn to the PHX - SJS game. Huge game for both teams.
Sharks in 8th with 88 pts, PHX in 9th wih 87. Both with five games remaining.

No need to beat them when they're down. Intentionally, at least.

(Hilarious typo, I wrote "beat them when they're done." Oops.)

I'd like to point out that Kadri isn't capable of breaking into this Leafs lineup. He's totally worth JVR though
