Same thing happened to me but I had no clue I was hacked. Found that the hacker had actually purchased WOTLK for my account and leveled my druid from 70 to 79 but also changed the professions. When I logged on my mage his bags were completely filled with all kinds of gems and herbs and 4k gold. I was ticked about the professions being altered but I think I might not raise a stink over it.
Same thing happened when I got hacked, they had turned my lowly skills to max level mining and enchanting
I wish I were hacked and given 60 stacks of Queen's Garnet!
Raided with Saved last night on H Rag. After an hour they called it, unable to down it, but we're hopeful that we can get a group together again next week so I can get my Firelord title!
why are you having to wait so long? they could tell you were hacked obviously.
I had to submit one of those Account Recovery forms and a picture ID. Only had to scan it and upload it in a ticket, but for some reason the Account Administrations department takes forever to respond to said ticket.
The ticket system is pretty much useless too since they only respond with the pre-made responses and really don't answer any of your questions.
Only a 34 minute wait time on the phone this time. Woo!
I promoted the Shaman with scroll rewards too, but never bothered to do more research on which totems to use.
Spent most of that time leveling up the hunter. That's some fun leveling. Then, on the last day, I realized you can get a ton of XP with Call to Duty BG victories.
-Scrolled to 80.
-Two days later I'm 85.
-5 hours played at 85 and I already have a 350 iLvl.
Loving shaman compared to my pally and druid. The healing output and mana efficiency seems to be 10 times better.
yah I have a 75 pally i'm using as a tank to help my brother do lower end stuff. I've been using my hunter with a turtle to tank but a few things are tough. can't do EoE with my hunter it glitches. we did allthe voa bosses with myself and him as a shaman. however as a pally it'll be even easier mode Not liking pally heals at all and miss the shaman to heal
I am still trying to figure out what class to boost to 80 with the scroll. I have rolled a few different ones on Arthas server, and I am trying to get the feel for which one I'd like to use most, or at least the most till I can acquire enough heirloom gear to speed up leveling drastically. One of them I made was a holy paladin and I have been enjoying it for the most part, dungeons queue fast and I really don't have to know the dungeon to get through it as all I do is watch the healbot bars. If Warlocks werent nerfed I wouldnt used my boost to 80 on that as it's something I always wanted a high level of but with what I hear it seems to be the weakest class right now.
Free 80? Wtf. Just came back after a year off wish someone would have sent me a scroll. Now I have to see if I can remember any of my old accounts info and send myself one.
I've got my 85 warrior soon to be 85 lock and a 71 pally. Can't bear to level the pally since it was my first 60 and I'm tired of them. I want 3 85's when MoP hits for the professions. Free 80 would set me up nice lol.
Edit: Found one, problem is I don't remember any of the info and probably can't verify it either. Have the e-mail and old account name, no password or security question answer though. Could I just claim it was hacked? It probably was anyway lol.

Well, it was smart of Blizz to do and somethign they probably shouldve done earlier. What kept me and many others from coming back is just getting so far behind in the expansions it was a lot to ask for to go out and buy all the expansions and then subscribe and then level back up to relevance. The scroll sort of took those concerns away and brings a subscriber base back.
The thing about the free 80 now is that it isnt nearly as huge as I thought it would be because I was thinking of and used to the old leveling. I made a paladin on Sunday and in two days I was already level 43 and that was with lots of time to level up professions on the way and absolutely zero heirloom gear that boosts leveling. Another thing which apparently is hugely different now is the ability to wear tabards to acquire rep from regular dungeons. Back in vanilla when you saw someone riding a mount from another faction it was a really unique sight as it required a lot of work to get exalted. I frankly didnt even know how to start as I guess it meant doing every quest for that specific faction all throughout the world and probably some other stuff too. With the tabard which I found out pretty late and only equipped it when I was in the mid 20's level I got exalted with bilgewater at level 41. I thought it would be cool seeing a big tauren paladin riding a trike but the trike didnt turn out as big as I thought it would.

Yeah leveling is way easy I agree but still to be able to start at 80 would be nice just because I have most of the lower level quests memorized and it's still a tedious process. Forgot about tabards they've been around awhile now though, thanks for the reminder I was kinda worried about rep. I'm not even into rep much but I will max it out for all the good recipes and such. I'm in a level 25 guild so the perks make it that much easier to level and advance through the content. I hate that about MMO's they inevitably start catering to the casual players. I did raid finder on my warrior, fury spec, messed up stats and older enchants and finished 7th in DPS. Way too easy in my mind. But then again I used to be a hardcore raider and miss the 40 man days.
Torn on MoP might try stick it out and try dethrone this guilds main tank or might not play at all. Sucks now that my pally buddy and arguably the best healer I have ever seen doesn't play anymore. We used to have a lot of fun raiding.
The reason I really want this account back is the pally on it 7/8 judgment.
If you can get scroll rezzed, do it. Worth it. Easy shortcut through Northrend and Outland.
Only can be used once, so the 52 Hunter has to level up to 85 the hard way
The only disadvantage is I have no clue how to play a Shaman, and I scrolled the Shaman up. So now there's an 80 with pretty good gear, and I have no idea what totems to drop.
