So...let's win? I want to see the Panthers lose for the Caps....
York puts up another strong game tonight, Umby with 2 goals and an assist, Jackets win 3-1. Let's at least hit 60 this year guys!

Or they could lose out so JPM might realize that Howson & Co need to go. I wonder if Howson speaks French?

Question is, will Rimer think he's back in Sunrise, FL and start calling the game like he's stuck in 1993?

From Puckrakers,
Another rookie expected to debut, tonight:
The Blue Jackets assigned defenseman David Savard to Springfield and recalled defenseman Dalton Prout. Prout, 22, was sixth-round pick in 2010. He has 4-8-12 and 52 PIM in 60 games with Springfield this season. Prout, 6-3 and 221 pounds, is slated to make his NHL debut on Friday against Florida.

Jackets continue their mathmatically improbable but not impossible (if they are left out of the Rapture) run for the Cup.
Btw... Anybody else notice all these newish posters lately??
By this time every season, there are usually only a few of us left. Howson is a marketing genius.

They'll catch onto your games soon enough, JF.

I was kind of up hoping for a tree themed thread. We never found out what kind of tree Dineen told Priest he would be.

I'm done explaining my brand of "fueled by 11 years of suck" gallows snark.
You, on the other hand, cannot be explained.
And at least I mention in passing what the THREAD is frickin about.
You should change your screen to "OT-Matthew".

Yeah, you lost me right there. I would sleep quite well if the Caps didn't make the playoffs. OT win for the Jackets would be fine by me.

You have to love a franchise who honors a player whose only feat with the team was 663 penalty minutes in only 94 games.
Damn, I miss the Chill ... where my true love of hockey really began.
Can't go wrong tonight for me ... either the Jackets win one for the Chill, or the Panthers win one and put the Crapitals at a little bit more of a disadvantage.
My guess is the Jackets start to get hot again and win this one 3-2.

I got to town in '67, so the Checkers were already here. I followed them, then the Seals, the Owls, and, finally, the Chill. For me, Columbus has almost always had pro hockey, so there's no question that the NHL belongs here.

It's been a while since we had a tiny goalie (Wade Dubi-wicz), so I say start the kid. I wanna see a 5'5 guy flopping around in the crease.

Yeah......pretty much. Not my best attempt, I've definitely done better before. Probably could have thought something out a lot better.

York is coming off his first career win, a rather solid effort against Detroit. He goes to the bench for that?

That's what I was thinking. I can't wait for Hunwick to get his shot in a start, but not until York deserves/needs to sit.

Second game of a back-to-back?
That's tomorrow...against St. Louis.

Sure, if you are in to feel good stories. Otherwise, there is little reason.

I don't believe it's going to happen. He's an emergency backup, hired only because he was close enough to get here in time for Wednesday's game.
