Love when the untapped resource that is the NCAA's talent gets pulled out and given a shot. Hope Moses gets some time to show what he's got.
I'm really pulling for UMD's Jack Connolly to get an ATO somewhere after his season is over. He's been leading that team for years. 58 points in 39 games this season.
If I'm plucking anyone out of UMD, it's JT Brown. Kid comes right out of the 'Ryan Callahan School of Hockey'.
22g in 37 games. 5'9. Hopefully his goal scoring ability will translate over.
It would surprise me, as it took the kid a very long time to get going.
When you get below 5'10",you usually want to see something very impressive before the Senior year, but there are always exceptions.

and these guys were signed to NHL contracts because if they play one game in the NHL or for the Rangers ill be shocked...not saying they suck but i dont see any NHL future at all...i see more of an NHL future with Blake Parlett and JAM than these players..

Yogan looked pretty good though, was always around the net, got denied on a few great chances though. Uses his strength and battles hard. Would love to see an increased role for him.
so i guess the Rangers are trying to make Yogan a winger ala Dubinsky...he was drafted as a center.. anyone who seen him play, more successful as a winger or a center??? I really hope he makes it. he seems to have skill size and grit, rangers dont have much power forward type players....

There are less responsiblities for a winger than a center--it's more likely the coaching staff is trying to ease Yogan into the lineup after playing the year in Juniors. I wouldn't read anything into it.
could Wellman be called up? JAM will get a contract but I imagine not this yr if they are hoping Kreider gets the last spot

At Newsday, Steve Zipay writes about the Rangers lack of a power play and secondary scoring and how it could doom the team in the playoffs.
The Rangers rank 11th in the league in goals per game but rank fifth in the league in 5 on 5 Goals For/Against Ratio.
The leading scorer in Hartford is Jonathan Audy-Marchessault but he is only signed to an AHL contract.
The Rangers are expected to call up someone from Hartford before they head to Minnesota tomorrow.
Casey Wellman, acquired from Minnesota for Erik Christensen, could be called up.
2009 first round pick Chris Kreider and Boston College play tonight and if they lose and are eliminated from the NCAA tournament, it is expected that Kreider will sign with the Rangers and could join the lineup immediately.
Mats Zuccarello, who was called up, broke his wrist on Friday.

When signig an ATO,can they play the rest of th e season in Whale or is it a limmited number of games they can participate in?
I believe I read somewhere that a PtO is limmited to one game only,no?
