If you look at it this way then isn't this the BEST team we have ever had in years. Glass half full

No, they are supposed to lose in the last second of regulation on a bad ref call that in no way can be blamed upon growing pains by the team.

IMO this had to go 1 of two ways to make me happy...

1. They made the playoffs and I finally got to see some Leafs playoff hockey.

2. They fail and give us a top 5 pick.

So yes they are giving me one of my wishes but if we don't get Galenchyuk then all bets are off and I will for sure rage.

It's painful, but necessary. I'm not complaining.

People are mostly upset at the way they are losing, not just the losing part.

It's one thing losing by a goal and showing a bit of pride and emotion... but losing 8-0 and 7-1? That's like getting kicked repeatedly in the balls.

It's not what's happening that's concerning - it's how it's happening.

I don't get it. Why would a professional athlete shut it down? Would Wendel Clark, Doug Gilmour, Mats Sundin, Daryl Sittler shut it down? Not a chance. You play to win, you fight if you're getting lit up night after night. Have some pride. These players are gutless and embarassing.

Exactly. I know it sucks to get blown out at home but this team doesn't have a shred of confidence left in them.

Leaf fans are angry when they win, and angry in the "manner" they lose. You can't have it both ways...

So, either a franchise D-man potential in Murray or Dumba, or a franchise center potential in Grigorenko or Galchenyuk. I wouldn't be upset with either.

What's funny about all this are the fans that have been complaining this team needs to add another elite prospect which can only be found by tanking with our 1st round draft pick but they are nowhere to be found because they're complaining in other threads that we're losing.

I'm not sure what some of the complainers want. We clearly weren't going to make the playoffs after the first downward spiral. Yet so many fans are still whining? If we had started to play great again, they'd still complain.

I'm happy they haven't figured out what's been the problem... RIGHT NOW. Because the bet thing that can happen is to get a lottery pick.

It's definitely the way they are losing that angers me. I'd they played hard and just lost that's wonderful for the tank but it looks like everyone has completely quit. Doesn't look like there's one guy who is solution right now...
