The interview with Klingberg (posted in the last thread) was a great read. He's not as flashy Scheifele or Telegin, but Klingberg is still my favorite prospect. I can't wait until he makes the Jets.

Hoping to see Klingberg on a line with Telgin on the rock next year 35 PTS is not bad for his first season especially given it was his 1st in NA hopefully he can continue to improve next year.

I think Cormier, Telegin and Klingberg have the making to be a great physical third line that can chip in offensively. Very excited to see these guys develope and play together, whether it's in the A or the show.

JOOC, why isn't schielfe on the caps? One would think that would be a better level of hockey to develop a player at.

Can't yet - too young, etc. He can play in the AHL if his OHL team is out of the playoffs - I'm not 100% clear on all the rules, so I'm sure someone will fill in the details.

The CHL has an agreement with the NHL which states that anybody under 20 (as in does not turn 20 until after January 1 of that season) and has not completed 4 years of service in the CHL cannot be assigned to the AHL. So Scheifele will not be able to head to St. John's even next year.

Once their junior team has been eliminated they may join the AHL team though is the one exception (so when Barrie is eliminated if St. John's is still playing he can join St. John's).

Regular season ends mid-April, so I'd imagine a week or so after that.

Interesting. Since the Jets are soon to be eliminated, I think I might follow the IceCaps playoff run.

Both,

The Nhl season ends about a week before the AHL does. I'd guess Mahachek and Maxwell will finish the season in the 'Peg before they come back. Winnipeg plays its last game in the 7th. Caps play their last home game in the 8th followed by three on the road the following weekend. I' d guess they will be sent down for the games on the 13 th, 14th and 15 th

when the jets are eliminated, should they return some players back to the icecaps for a chance to win the cup, or leave them here for the nhl experience?

Ben Maxwell has been sent down. The others on two-way contracts are Kane, Burmi, Flood and Machacek.

So I could only see Flood and Machacek going down.

Would be ideal. I expect everyone who can (excluding Kane/Burmi) to be with the Caps on their playoff run.

Two way contracts mean nothing. Flood would have to clear waivers and Flood, Burmistrov, and Kane are not on the IceCaps clear day roster so they cannot play for the IceCaps in playoffs.

So what`s the difference between Machacek and Flood when it comes to waivers? Does Flood have veteran status that requires him to clear waivers every time he goes up and down between AHL/NHL? Does Machacek only have to clear once for the year? Or doesn`t have to clear after the trade deadline?
