It's funny because a couple years ago, I found an old comedy album and gave it a listen. I don't remember who it was, but he was talking about how men trying to pick up a woman are completely oblivious to everything. The guy can start off with something, she'll respond with, "Peanut butter makes me gassy", and he'll go "Well, pull up a chair!" He'll then look at his friends and go, "Back off, I've got this one."
lol, I'm certainly not oblivious when they aren't interested. I'm oblivious when they are. Having said that, some are oblivious, some just enjoy the challenge.

We need to be careful, otherwise a sitcom writer will pop in here and think, "Heeyyyy....why don't we do a new show? It'll be about a guy who's awkward around women! Let's give him a friend too."
Then he'd throw in some 1980s pop culture references, and it'd be an episode of Family Guy in a month.

If anyone happened to get an extra poster at the game friday that they would be willing to sell or get rid of, please let me know. I was sick and could not get anyone to go in my stead.
Update - This is why I love our fanbase. I got a couple of quick responses and I am set. Thanks everyone.

Reason: Great CBJ fans came through
this thread is for meetups and you're allowed to sell tickets on here so i will try the following (mods feel free to let me know if you do not want this happening):
i have a ton of hockey stuff that i get and do not end up using and i always try to move them for cheap in such instances.. i have plenty of things available right now including OSU practice jersey (with fight strap and from OSU; black), OSU socks (Nike and from OSU, but not used by OSU; gray with scarlet), Tackla Hockey Shell (worn maybe 8 times; 52, red), Bauer X60 Hockey pants (worn maybe 4 times; size M 32-34", black), and a Bauer X60 LE hockey stick (P14, 2 inches cut so 87 flex now more like 95)
if anyone is interested, send me a pm as i believe it is against site rules to sell on here so i will only discuss prices off this website and with people who intend to meet up to acquire the gear. i am able to take pictures of anything and everything. I also have a good amount of other items so if you're looking for something not listed, let me know and i will let you know if i have what you're looking for.
Long story short - my brother and I got calls from a representative of the team that is looking to get us tickets during the regular season next year. Of course, we can't do it often, seeing as we're from Pittsburgh.
However, being told I can get tickets to see a hockey game and it only being 15 bucks, it's worth the drive for me
So, I need some advice. What seats are good? What's worth paying for? Any places near the arena that are worth visiting if we come early, or stay for the night? (It's about 3 hours for us to get there.)

There's no shortage of things to do around the arena. Bars, restaurants, etc.
My curiousity is getting me though...why does the org want to get you tickets exactly?
My brother has been entering a bunch of contests via the team's Official Facebook page and they reached out to him (us) about tickets.
Bars are out of the question. My brother is only 15. Bars are not happening.
I would find a Sunday afternoon game and drive over in the AM, see the game and drive back. I did it for the game in Pittsburgh last season and it worked out great
All of Northeast Ohio is full of excellent Italian food...I think we all know why Donatos never made it. It's like being offered a fine dry-aged beef tenderloin, but pushing it aside to eat whatever's in the dog's bowl.
I think it's insane that Donatos has survived in Columbus considering the bevy of fantastic pizza options. I know we've discussed this before.
Adriatico's
Rotolo's
Pizza Plus
Fabian's
Hound Dog's
Geno's
For those from the Valley, DiCarlo's in Hilliard. I'm not sure there is a really good, traditional Neopolitan/New York pie in town. If there is, I haven't found it, yet. I'd say Mellow Mushroom, Dewey's, or Zpizza are the closest.
