Greening - Spezza - Michalek
Foligno - Turris - Alfie
Klink - Smith - Condra
JOB - Winnie - Neil

That would be my starting 12 for Playoff game #1. Pretty big and solid team 1-12.

Except that JOB shoots right & plays either centre or right wing. Condra has played some LW this yr & could be the most likely candidate to play LW.

Greening - Spezza - Michalek
Foligno - Turris - Alfredsson
Condra - Z. Smith - O'Brien
Konopka - Winchester - Neil

Unfortunately for Ottawa & Klinkhammer, he has only put up one pt since he has been with the team. Although Konopka doesn't register many pts either he is still good at faceoffs & can handle the rough stuff better than Klink. I expect the first two games to be very rough as Boston tries to exert their percieved physical advantage but maybe later Maclean can bring in other guys to change it up a bit.

I dunno, O'Brien has been meh, Klink has at least been noticeable in a positive way. At least in the games I've seen.

Seriously? SERIOUSLY? A barely 4th line guy who would have trouble cracking the roster on half the teams in this league is coming back to our lineup and people are celebrating? "YEAH!!! 7 MINS OF ICE TIME IS GOING TO BE SLIGHTLY IMPROVED UPON! WE ARE GOING ALL THE WAY!"

Its JESSIE F**KING WINCHESTER people!

He is so important to this team that most people here forgot he existed until today.

Teams with extended playoff runs are going to need extra bodies due to the inevitable casualties. Winchester is just the type of guy that we need right now, Get Konopka out of there.

That's over 10% of the game, and you're taking away a liability and adding an asset... so yeah, it is important for the depth of the team. Not to mention the PK improvement that should occur with it.

We get better on faceoffs and PK. It may not be a huge impact but its a help. Depth is a good thing as well.

He will probably be so fat and out of shape though. He couldn't work out for a while.

Did a lot of working out in the pool, actually, when he wasn't allowed in the gym.

He's remained in particularly good shape through all this.

Jesse the body back centering the 4th line would be awesome, I would take out Daug and/or Konopka no way I'd take out klink he's exactly who we need a big body who hits with offenseive upside I'd even keep Klink in for Rick Condra

Winchester will be the only guy in our bottom six with a slight degree of creativity in terms of helping generate scoring chances. He isn't a great finisher, but the fact he is tough, hits, wins battles and is great on the cylce makes him an easy guy to throw in. Definite upgrade, as our bottom six, while physical, has been a real problem area during the second half of the season.

Jesse is an inexpensive, safe player who brings a solid work ethic and lost of effort. He's also not an easy guy to push around, and could hang in the battles in the playoffs with guys (Goons) like Lucic and Thornton. No reason not to be glad to have him around. Besides that, he pushes some (most) of our bottom 6 guys down the depth chart, except for Smith, but we all know that Smith will play every playoff game too.

Basically, there is a reason everyone is happy to have Winnie back. He's the kind of player that is good to have in tough games, which is all we will be playing from now until the off season.

Easy tiger.

No one said we were going for the cup because Winny's back.

We're just glad to have a player with a great work ethic back in time for the playoffs. Extra bodies is always a plus.

Winchester > daugavins, konopka, condra

The reason people didn't talk about him is because he had a concussion, we assumed he was done for the season and everything we heard about him the last little while was he was still suffering from setbacks.

Obrien has really struggled in his own zone of late thats who id take out. Bottom 6 players cant blow assignments like he did the last 2 games, this way everyone stays in their natural position. Winch is great on draws good in battles and he is a big body that is fresh and had some time off I want him in.

Greening Spezza Michalek
Foligno Turris Alfredsson
Daugevins Smith Condra
Klinkhammer Winchester Neil

Thats what id go with.

O'Brien has continued to improve every game, and has been one of our best pk'ers and best faceoff guy besides Spezza, there is absolutely zero reason why MacLean takes him out of the lineup.

Winchester as the 4th line center. Excellent on the face-offs and very good defensively, one of our best defensive forward.

I actually would re-sign him for next year and try to trade RFA guys like Daugavins or O'Brien instead. Would even let walk Klinkhammer and Konopka before letting Winnie walk.

For the rest of the season :

Greening-Spezza-Michalek
Foligno-Turris-Alfredsson
Daugavins-Smith-Neil
Klinkhammer-Winchester-Condra
O'Brien-Konopka-Butler (reserve line)

What's funny?

Jesse is not an offensive dynamo? So what? The Sens are 4th in goals scored per game in the entire NHL, so it's not like we miss offense. I'd say a strong defensive forward could really help this team even more and that's exactly what Winchester is, a very complete bottom-6 player. Winchester is actually our 9th most important forward, just after Neil and Smith... (Regin not counted as he is out for the season)

Well we are happy he is not ruined entirely from the concussion. Plus he is a VERY effective 4th line centre... something we missed with Konopka on the ice, we got it for awhile with O'Brien. If we have an effective 4th line centre we get to have an entire 4th line on the ice and can roll 4 lines. Rolling 4 lines is essential in the playoffs.
