All of you justifying this crap with the fact that York is playing well is just ridiculous.
He's an AHL goalie. I don't CARE if Detroit lost to him. Detroit has a big black X next to their name, they're ALLOWED to lose these types of games.
WE DON'T HAVE ANY BLACK X YET! We can't afford to lose these games. This is a team we should beat. Nobody can finish right now. I might be bald by the end of the night cause I may just rip every last strand out of my head by the 3rd period.
I don't get your post? I think you misread my post? Columbus beat Detroit in Columbus but lost to them 2 nights prior to that game in Detoit. We play Detroit in Detroit not in our building. Detroit beat Columbus 7-2 there and I think even let up a bit in the 3rd. Detroit is 30-5-2 at home.
People shouldn't really criticize others for criticizing this team. This team deserves every bit of criticism it is getting right now. What 12-13 years and no playoffs and we don't reserve the right to criticize this team? Really?

This team is so close, SOOOOO CLOSE, to clinching. All we want is a clinch. The players are coming out flat and unresponsive. I keep reading articles everyday with them saying "we have to do this" and "we have to get the job done". Well they aren't getting done at all.
I, as a LOOOOOONG time fan of this team, will not sit back with a dumb grin on my face as this team plummets down the standings because they can't score 3 goals in a god damn hockey game against the worst ****en teams in the league.

Its not worth starting wars between fans of the same team. I agree with the criticism.. guess I just look at it differently. No one thought this team was going to make it to the playoffs this year. I love watching the game no matter if they win or lose. What they have done this year has shown everyone up. No more crap from me. Lets all just keep the peace.

Agreed. Same for me.. I have been dedicated to this team for a LONG time. It annoys me that they are sucking right now. But when everyone turns their back the team comes back. That's all I'm trying to point out. We will win this game and I don't have any doubt about that.
Anyone will admit that was a bad period and if not for that 5 on 3 with 11 or 12 shots on goal, it probably would have been atrocious. The Panthers deserve us to be infuriated with them for starting the period like that against the league's worst team that they "should" be walking all over, but to give up on the game after giving up just a goal is a little insane in my mind.
I forget what game it was about a month ago where we had a similar horrible 1st period, Dineen must have done a miracle in the locker room before the 2nd period, and we played a terrific rest of the game. That same thing needs to be done right now.
I don't think York is playing all that amazing. His movements are extremely amateur and his inexperience shows, but on the 5 on 3 he was certainly keeping his eye on the puck at all times. We couldn't get a goal because every time a shot was done from the point, nobody was there for the rebound.
There's still 40 minutes to go. Let's deeply hope that it's a positive rest of the game. Keeping my fingers crossed.
