Pacioretty - no goals in last 10 GP

I know he's been one of the few bright lights this season but does anyone have an explanation for the funk he's been in lately? Ever since he got #30 he's been snakebit...He's my fav player on the team but I was really hoping he'd have a strong finish and at least give me something to root for down the stretch. Is it just a few close calls no going in or is it symptomatic of the way the team is playing? Hopefully he breaks out soon and pots a few more as the clocks run out on the worst season in generations..

9 shots on goal in his last game. He'll come out of it.

We should probably trade him, along with Price and Subban. They've all had bad slumps during the season, can't have that in Montreal.

[not a shot at you OP]

I know he wanted Cole to get 30 and DD to get 20. Maybe he tries to get his line-mates to put a few more.

Anyway, for now he helps the tank and will be less expensive to resign.

Not sure how people still don't understand that goal scorers are streaky. 30 goal scorers by definition, over a full season, will go 52 games without scoring. They also won't evenly distribute that production over the year. They will score by bunch, they will go cold, they will have multiple goal games.
It is absolutely normal.

He is demoralized by Price's lack of effort.

Snipers in the NHL run through hot and cold streaks. He had quite the hot streak to get to thirty, now he's cold.

It happens

Meh, he'll get over it. It seems like Cole hit fire when Pacioretty started slumping so I guess Cole is stealing his goals.

He's still getting chances, they're just not going in for him. I wouldn't be too worried.

He is what he is. There's nothing wrong. He's one of those snipers that runs hot and cold, but at the end of the day, he gives you respectable numbers.

What I really like is that his compete level still remains high, so its not for a lack of effort.

Just a cold streak, he's still playing hard and getting his shots. Line is still producing.

Max is the true team player, he is putting his awesomeness on hold to close out the season for the sake of the tank

Pacioretty had an amazing season. I think he has many good seasons in front of him.

Goals are random events. Shots on the other hand...

10th in the NHL. He's doing fine.

He's nothing but a third liner like the most knowledgeable man in the NHL, Pierre McGuire said. This season was a fluke.

He's in a slump... He was producing at a goal per game pace before that. It's normal.

He's finished.

Trade him to Nashville for Kostitsyn. Either one.
